031520; I'm Tired.
Our Story
"031520; I'm Tired." is an experimental, performative piece of cinema involving the yin-yang themes of movement and stillness, as well as the idea of individuality within a community.
Although these themes are not limited to recent events, the majority of the world was experiencing a healthy movement, progression of life, until the pandemic was in full motion. This brought societal structures and every day lifestyles to experience an unusual and disturbing stillness. “031520; I'm Tired.” expresses the ache of this reality through the motion of bodies.
Yoga plays a key role for its therapeutic practice and its connection between mind and body; the opening of movement and stillness.
As the yogis practice, they move simultaneously representing the community before separating out into their own movements, transitioning to individualism. As they crescendo through their movements, they begin to hold longer and lose the fluidity they once possessed.
Each yogi represents a different intention:
Their sequence of movement will reflect their intention as they move through the void of the space.
