In this story of friendship, empowerment, and survival, a man with dwarfism is assaulted on the day after the election. This is inspired by my real-life experience, and I can't wait to bring this story to you!

Mission Statement
This will be one of the few films that's been made by someone with dwarfism. Our cast and crew are also very diverse, featuring people of different ethnicities, gender identities and sexuality.About The Project
On the day after the election in 2016, I was assualted at a bar. Getting picked up (literally) at bars isn't a new experience but that was the first time it had escalated into a full blown fight. Luckily I was able to defend myself and was physically ok after the encounter but it definitely stuck with me. For the past 2 years I've wanted to do something with that experience, and now I'm finally in a place where I can tell a story that will not only be personal but also hopefully relatable to anyone who's been harassed, assualted, or felt afraid at a bar.
After telling this story to people and a LOT of people saying something along the lines of "wow, you should make a film about that" here we are!
Apart from acting and (for the first time) filmmaking, my other creative passion is fight choreography. I'm excited for the challenge and grateful to have the knowledge to help tell this story through that medium as well. I believe that some of the purest storytelling is without words, and at it's best, action is one of the purest expressions of emotion.
Now, I have a location, script, and a team of an amazing cast and crew that I have complete confidence in to help me bring this story to life. The only other thing I need is you! With your help I can accomplish something that's been in my mind for years, and will hopefully have an impact on many people.
This film explores the fear and powerlessness of being in a public place surrounded by people while facing harassment, intimidation, and assault. At it's heart is a story of friendship, empowerment and survival.
Emmanuel Polycarpe plays Chris, Guy (my character)'s adoptive brother. Chris and Guy and can talk about basically anything. Chris is a bit protective of Guy. I've known Emmanuel for years, and we've always talked about doing a film together. We went to college together, and were roommates for a week during Hurricane Sandy!
I first met Crystal Arnette, our co-director (left) when we made a short film last year, called "Committed". Right away I knew she was someone I could trust with this story and I'm so grateful to have her on board.

Current Team
About This Team
Colin Buckingham Writer, Producer, Choreographer, Co-Director, Guy
I'm making my filmmaking debut with "A Guy Walks Into a Bar"! I just finished a 2 year run at "Sleep No More" as a dancer/performer. Previous credits include "Mr. Robot", "Black Magic for White Boys" and "Committed"
Crystal Arnette Co-Director
Crystal is a muli-hyphenate storytelller who has worked on all sides of the camera. She co-founded "Sequins" a non profit that promotes underrepresented voices in the arts. I had the fortune to work with her as an actor in a short film "Committed", and her recent directorial project "The Hunted: NYCSS"! I completely trust her with this personal story that means so much to me and am incredibly thankful to have her on board.
Madeline Lewis Producer
Madeline is also an awesome multi-hyphenate creator, and founded her own production company "Vivid Verse Productions". I previously worked with her on her pilot "Tamburlaine", adapted from Christopher Marlowe. She is someone who I also completely trust with this story, and is someone I've known and worked with for many years.
Jared Kirby Fight Coordinator
Jared is also a multi-hyphenate artist (noticing a theme here) specializing in fights and choreography for the camera. I first worked with him on "The Hunted: NYCSS" with Crystal and knowing his experience and having worked with him personally I can't wait to be on set! I know we'll be in great hands.
Emmanuel Polycarpe Chris
Emmanuel is an Actor, singer, and rapper who I've known for 8 years. We went to college together and have performed together onstage before. I've wanted to work with him ever since, and after having talked about working together for a couple years it's finally going to happen.
Dominic Sivilli Director of Photography
Dominic is also a muti-hyphenate artist, having done mostly everything you can do behind a camera. I've known him for years and have worked with him on "Bait and Switch" and "Tamburlaine".
Nicolas Coccaro Chad
Nicolas is an actor, stunt coordinator, and stunt performer. He's also someone I've known for a while and I'm excited to have him on board!
Mark A. Rose Brad
Mark is an actor and stuntman who immediately came to mind for this project as soon as I finished the first script. Previous credits include 'Atone' and 'The Blacklist'
Galway McCullough Bret
Galway is a multi-hyphenate artist, having recently finished a one-man show! Previous credits include 'The Blacklist' and 'The Punisher'
