This is the story of someone who cannot remember, and how other people and music help her to do so. It's really a love story between a woman and her ex-mother-in-law that transcends what we think we should do and what we actually do to show that we have "a life well lived".

Story
Mission Statement
I have been in those rooms at the end of a person's life. I have seen how Alzheimers affects patients and their families. This drama that I wrote will be beautifully nuanced under the expert direction of Louisa Kendrick Burton and the acting finesse of Melanie Collup along with the rest of the team.About The Project
A note from the screenwriter: As the screenwriter of this project, I wanted to examine how we define "a life well lived". We will all be faced at some point with someone we love being in a room at the end of their life. The nuanced dance, the quiet time in the face of the end, and the love that fills the often sterile air are what this film leans into.
It further examines Alzheimer's and memory loss. What is behind the eyes of the person? What memories can one access and how? And how might we facilitate the compassion we all deserve?
One of my family members who passed away from complications to Alzheimer's, could access happy times through music. My heartbreaking moment was when she forgot the inside jokes we had once shared. So then it was no longer about me. It was about how I could help her remember. I wrote this film for her, for other family members who I saw at the end of their lives and held their hands, for patients who I spent endless hours brushing their hair or doing art with them, for the caregivers, and for the compassion we all can show each other.
I hope you'll join me in supporting this film so we can present a glimpse in what binds us together in our humanness. I've assembled a powerhouse team to bring this story to life.
Warmly,
Rebecca
Over 500,000 people every year in the US are diagnosed with Alzheimer's in the US...
So what does a life well lived look like? What if you couldn't remember? What if the people who show up for you at the end of your life aren't who you expect? What if the people you hope will show up at the end of your life aren't emotionally available? What if you need music to access your memories? What if we need someone to help us remember?
This is "A Life Well Lived".
Join our team in supporting our campaign as we get ready to present to you "A Life Well Lived" on the screen.
We are auditioning the cast now and continue to scout our locations. Filming dates are set for mid-July in Los Angeles. Everything is falling into place, but we need your support to help make this film a reality. We just signed on a skilled Director of Photography, Akina Van de Velde, and 1st Assistant Director, Danielle Jacobs.
Below is the team that is bringing you this film in its entirety:
Rebecca Glazer (Greene): Screenwriter/ Executive Producer / Co-Producer
Rebecca has 30 accolades for her TV Pilots and Feature Screenplays and 23 Discoverable Projects. You can find her work at writers.coverfly.com/profile/writer-c89f3f36d-50064 and @rebglazerwriter on Instagram and Twitter.
She is also co-host of the platform @Emerging_Creatives where she inspires, connects, elevates, and motivates creatives on both Instagram and Twitter.
Melanie Collup, Co-Producer and Lead Actress
Melanie is a multi-hyphenate: actress, producer, and screenwriter. She is the co-producer of this film but will switch hats and will play the lead role in "A Life Well Lived". She has won awards for her comedy short, "Yes, Who, I Love You Too".
Louisa Kendrick Burton, Director
Louisa is a director, actress, screenwriter, and all around force to be reckoned with. She co-hosts Emerging_Creatives with Rebecca, creating an undeniable chemistry with the screenwriter that will transfer to the screen. She has many accolades for her screenwriting, and her short has won awards. See her in action on her short film "Our Tent".
We will be hiring a covid compliance professional on set and follow the protocols for testing. These protocols are dynamic but we will hire someone to keep us up to date and keep everyone safe on set. Safety is our number one priority.
STRETCH GOALS...
If we exceed our goal, the following are some areas that we could utilize the additional funds.
--We will be able to get additional lighting to help with close up shots.
--We could procure additional props.
--We'd be able to hire another on-set producer while the co-producer, Melanie Collup, is acting.
--We'd be able to have more comprehensive locations for filiming.
--We'd be able to afford an extra day of filming if needing.
--We can hire a joke teller to break the tension of this serious topic of the film. (This one's a joke as I take full responsibility for keeping a positive, happy, and light set to allow us to make the most professional and passionate film imaginable.)
Thank you for your support on this project.
