Mission Statement
The Story
Alone is a SAG ULTRA LOW BUDGET FILM.
Thirty-six year old Sam has just moved in with her best friend after the death of her "Mama". The tragedy has made her condition worse and her psychiatrist is growing concerned.
Sam suffers from a crippling anxiety disorder known as Agoraphobia. She experiences panic attacks in crowds and is becoming more and more of a recluse. Her only friend and roommate, 29-year-old Thomas, makes a tongue-in-cheek suggestion that she visit a secluded location within a nearby graveyard known to the locals as "The Fairy Steps". Sam laughs it off; she doesn't believe in superstition or the supernatural. Afterall, that stuff is just fairy tales...
The Fairy Steps are where the hopeless go when they've nowhere else to turn. Local legend claims that if you stand on the 13th step, make a wish aloud and leave an offering, within minutes your wish will be granted.
Sam has a crippling panic attack at a bar and Thomas' boyfriend, Mike, corroborates the legend. He claims that he visited the steps, wished to quit smoking and hasn't touched a cigarette since. In desperation (and a drunken whim), Sam agrees to visit the Fairy Steps and make the wish: to not live her life in isolation and no longer feel paralyzed in social settings.
After making the wish, the Groundskeeper catches Sam and runs her off the premises. She forgets to leave an offering; a grievous mistake.
Her wish is granted but in a sinister and terrifying way. Sam discovers that when she is alone for more than two minutes and seventeen seconds, menacing phantoms emerge from walls and shadows to claim her soul.
Sam's life changes completely. She is in a constant race against time, desperately seeking companionship, sacrificing her morals, her better judgement, her sanity, just to stay alive. Alone is filled with scares, suspense, and genuine psychological horror.
Alone is a constant assault on your nerves until the climactic twist that will leave your jaw on the floor. Please join us in making this film a reality.
We love horror movies. That said, our movies have quality stories and sympathetic characters at the core. We work together, united by a desire to entertain, incite critical-thinking, and ultimately "move" our audience -- three factors we value the most in the films we make as well as the films we watch and love. We emphasize collaboration and pride ourselves on the artistic community we've built. Our humble upbringings have made us resourceful, empathetic and self-sufficient.
There is a common thread -- sometimes beautiful, sometimes terrifying, and often times both -- that runs through humanity. It is with this thread that we weave our best stories. It is our hope, that viewers watching our films will recognize something in themselves, like a reflection in a mirror.
Even if it scares them.

About This Team
Hello from Whitefish, Montana! My team behind Alone are very good friends, some new and some decades old. We've dreamed of making a horror film together for quite some time. This summer, everything fell into place: schedules, ideas and passions alligned and we began pre-production on Alone. Most of this team are donating their time and talents simply to share an exciting experience and create something together. This team is comprised of some of the most down-to-Earth, talented, and kind-hearted artists I've known. All of them possess a passion for story-telling in various mediums -- music, theatre, film, writing and visual effects. I hope you have the opportunity to meet them all someday, your life will be richer for it. They are an incredible team and I can't wait to share our work and passion with you. Please join us on this journey. We can't do it alone (cue ominous music)...
--Adam Pitman
Adam Pitman (along with David Blair) is writer and director of Alone. He was born and raised in Whitefish, MT and has been making films for sixteen years in both Montana and Los Angeles. He loves horror and documentary genre films and has directed four award-winning features and numerous shorts. His most notable films are The Sighting and The Triangle out on VOD. Adam spent 2017 working with the Montana Meth Project on 26 national PSAs to prevent meth use among teenagers especially on reservations. As a child, Adam fell in love with horror movies watching Alfred Hitchock Presents, Joe Bob Briggs on the USA network, Bella Lugosi and Borris Karloff. As an adult, his love for psychological and intelligent horror films has grown into a passion. Some of his favorite films are Requiem For a Dream, Rosemary's Baby, and Whiplash. He also likes hiking in Glacier Park and is a crazy cat person.
David Blair is also writer and director of Alone, which is based off of a short story he wrote in college. David is from Grangeville, ID and went to the University of Idaho where he met Adam Pitman. They began a long friendship and career together working on movies. He has directed a couple of short films and three features including The Sighting and The Triangle. David recently finished writing a horror script for Scott Free Productions. When he's not poring over his latest novel or screenplay, David can be found enjoying a good cup of coffee, a cold IPA, or treading the boards of the Whitefish Community Theatre.
Jamie Cody-Furguson has 6 years of experience on major feature films, network tv shows, and commercials, with a focus on VFX and post production. A varied FX demand, created a varied FX skillset in Jamie, and early roles as a compositor, paint n roto artist, animator, rigger, matchmover and modeller prepared him to helm several future projects. He now works as a VFX supervisor and spends free time expanding his skillset or exploring the Northwest wilderness.

A few months later, Bradford was cast on ABC's General Hospital, in a role that was only supposed to last a month or two.
