Mission Statement

Our mission is to amplify emerging and underrepresented voices and foster a community for artists to explore and grow their craft. With fee-free artist submissions, pay-what-you-can performances, and free education labs, we are committed to making theatre accessible for artists and audiences alike.

The Story

AnyWay Production Company is back for more world premieres, free artist workshops, and community building with our 2026 season! This year, we have more AnyWay planned than ever before, with our hallmark Festival Productions, our new and intimate Workshop Productions, and our revamped Evergreen Education Series featuring free one-day labs for writers, actors, and directors.

AnyWay provides accessible theatre opportunities for Los Angeles based artists and audiences through fee-free submissions for all script and audition submissions, accommodating scheduling for working artists, pay-what-you-can tickets for as little as $1, and free educational resources that connect our participants with working industry professionals to learn and grow their network.

AnyWay Production Company is a queer and femme founded theatre company with the aim of providing opportunities to new and emerging voices, regardless of what is on your resume. Founded in 2024, AnyWay strives to cultivate an artistic community where overlooked and marginalized voices are centered, and artists are empowered to hone their skills and explore new roles in a safe and fun environment. Co-founders Delanie and Katie are long-time theatre professionals with over a decade of experience, and our Board Members have worked on productions across the country in a myriad of departments.

Our 2024 season laid the foundation for our Festival Productions with the inaugural The Greenhouse: An Emerging Voices Festival and A Theatre Double Feature.

2025 not only saw our beloved Festivals return but saw our first full-length production with Pets! by Jenny Panush as well as our first education opportunities with our fan-favorite Table-Read-a-Thon, Directing Bootcamp, and Audition Bootcamp.

After two nearly sold-out seasons and rave reviews from both audiences and AnyWay alumni, we have more shows, more workshops, and more opportunities coming than ever before.

At AnyWay, we believe in the power and the magic of theatre, and our company is founded on the belief that everyone deserves access to that magic, whether as an artist, audience, or anybody wanting to try something new. We produce new and exciting works that challenge the status quo, speak to the world around us, and hold a mirror to humanity while including and platforming those who have been overlooked or shut out by the traditional theatre industry. We are both a launchpad and a safe haven for those who need it, providing the space for artists to hone their craft and learn new skills, or return to an artform they've stepped away from.

Our 2026 Season features three exciting series: our classic Festival Productions, our new Workshop Productions, and our revamped Evergreen Education Labs!

About our Festivals: We wouldn’t be where we are without our Festivals! These are the productions that started it all, our biggest productions of the year that are also where we platform as many directors, writers, designers, and actors as possible. This is AnyWay at its very best. Our first Festival of the season will be The Greenhouse: An Emerging Voices Festival, our ten-minute play festival featuring eight scripts of varying genres, directors of every experience level, and some of LA's brightest stars whose names you'll want to remember. This season will conclude with A Theatre Double Feature, our one-act play festival featuring two unpublished pieces, each with their own guest director, and brought to life by a guest design team.

About our Workshops: This series focuses on the playwright's journey to their world premiere and create a playground for actors, directors, playwrights, and designers to focus on the heart of the material with stripped back design and more intimate venues. Longer rehearsal processes, more flexibility, and more collaboration, all with the top-tier standards you’ve come to expect from AnyWay! This year's Workshop Productions include Loose Tooth by Dylan Malloy and Bury Your Gays (and they will rise up again) by Shannon Chinn.

About our Evergreen Education Series: Because growth should be year-round, we are revamping and reintroducing our free education labs. Welcome to Evergreen, AnyWay's place for low risk, high reward day-long learning opportunities to stretch yourself, try something new, expand your network, and connect with and learn from industry professionals in a warm and welcoming environment. This year, we are bringing back the fan-favorite Table-Read-a-Thon for writers, as well as our Directing and Acting Labs with new topics and new teaching artists.

Our 2026 Season Timeline:

March: Crowdfunding!

April: Table-Read-a-Thon

May: Loose Tooth by Dylan Malloy (Workshop Production #1)

July: One Day Directing Lab

August: The Greenhouse: An Emerging Voices Festival

October: Bury Your Gays (and they will rise up again) by Shannon Chinn

November: One Day Acting Lab

December: A Theatre Double Feature

This year, we aim to double the number of artists involved in our season by putting up more shows and expanding our teaching capacity for our free one-day education labs. With your support, we can platform a record number of emerging voices and showcase the vibrant talent waiting to be discovered through our Festival and Workshop Productions, and we can increase access to arts education through our Evergreen Education Series.

Our sights are set high, but we need you to make it happen. We are crowdfunding $16,000 to help cover the costs of our second season. Your donation allows us to continue providing opportunities for emerging and underrepresented artists, producing quality theatre in the heart of Los Angeles, and maintaining our pay-what-you-can ticket model. AnyWay is a volunteer-run theatre company, meaning every dollar you give goes directly into the production budgets for our shows and education labs.

We need your help to reach our goal! Here are three ways you can directly support our crowdfunding campaign:

  1. Donate! Every dollar counts. We have some cool incentives in return for your generosity!
  2. Follow! Follow us here on Seed&Spark and on Instagram and TikTok @anywayproductionco to stay up to date on all things AnyWay (and to find your name in our Donor Thank You Posts!)
  3. Share! Send our campaign to your friends and family, share the link to your social media, and help spread the word!

Our promise to you, our supporters, is to use each and every dollar to continue to provide accessible theatre to audiences and artists alike in Los Angeles and beyond. Your donations help provide the literal roofs over our heads where we perform and rehearse, costumes, set pieces, artist stipends so we can compensate our artists for their time and talent, and more.

Should we be so fortunate as to reach beyond our $16,000 goal, we will use the additional funds to pay out more artist stipends, expand the amount of opportunities available in each of our productions, and build towards an even more expansive Season 4 in 2027!

AnyWay doesn't plan on going anywhere for a long time. Funding our project in full (and beyond!) helps ensure the longevity of our mission.
