Blue And White Christmas is not your average holiday film. We want to start from the traditional, and then step outside the box and dive in headfirst to a project we stand behind 110%. The idea is to make a film that we would be excited to see on a major streaming platform, and not just another bland sugar cookie of a holiday film to sit through simply because we want a holiday movie fix. We want a holiday film that aims higher than most of what's streaming right now.

We have been working on this project for a little while, and are now getting our ideas to paper and making sure this is what we believe in and love.

We have broken down our startup budget to get this project rolling. The funds we are raising now are to get us all set up to be able to bring together the production elements needed to secure talent, negotiate contracts, and present everything to investors.

We have already been working extremely hard to learn all we can to set ourselves up for success. Now is where it all comes together and we officially launch!

Once we complete our development steps, we will be ready to move forward with production.  Our current shoot schedule is projected to be this winter, so the sooner we are done with development, the sooner we can move into official pre-production, and then production, and work to release this film by our current targeted date of 2022!

STORY

Our story follows a young man who learns of the death of an estranged family member, and finds himself back in his old hometown for the holidays. As he goes through the process of clearing out the estate, he finds himself discovering things he never knew about his childhood home while confronting the shortcomings of the idealistic adulthood he thought he was living. Through cryptic clues and unexpected friendships, he finds himself navagiating a whimsical scavenger hunt. As he follows the clues he finds the life lessons he missed as a child, and the true meaning of the holidays.

FUNDING

At this stage of our project, we are putting together the funds for development so that we can get this project properly off the ground and 100% professionally produced into a completed feature film.

To do this, we have a few items we need to ensure are covered. 

Breakdown & Budget:

In order to get final funding for the production of our film, we need to know what it will cost to make our film in its entirety. Having our budget properly outlined now means we will be able to carry through production and post-production, and we won't be turning around later needing more funding to finish because of improperly preparing to begin with, or later realizing we didn't have needed costs covered in our budget. We know it is a vicious circle because we need to be able to hire someone to break down our script and make a budget in the first place...and we need funding for that, too!

To help us make sure we are ready to go, we have an incredible veteran female Line Producer who can get us our full script breakdown, and a complete budget to cover everything, from our star's pay down to details like masks for COVID-19 safety, and everything in between!

Casting:

We know that to get full film funding. you usually need at least one name actor, and to get a name actor you need money. While we have investors interested in helping us get past that loop once we are ready to bring in our talent, we do need a Casting Director to help us navigate the negotiations of bringing on our talent.

Writers:

We love the story ideas so far, but story ideas need to be fleshed out into a fully developed script so we can bring the story to the screen. While we would love to sit down and type this out in a .txt file...there is a little more to it than that. To get our story fleshed out at the professional level it deserves, we need a professional writing team to write an actual professional level script that can be produced into a finished film.

Pitch Deck:

Once our film is ready for funding, we need to get it in front of investors and pitched! This is to present to investors to help us become fully funded to move forward to filming. To artistically represent the vision for the cinematic execution of our story, we need a professional graphic designer to outline our budget breakdown, with mood board photos and details regarding the look of the whole movie.

Legal:

Navigating the development world involves a lot of agreements, including large financial ones. To make sure we have everything in the proper place outlined in the right contracts, having a professional Entertainment Lawyer review things early on ensures that we are able to move forward with all proper legal agreements in place. We also have to cover the copyright registration of the script itself, and all other legal obligations of doing it right from the get-go so we don't have anything tripping our team up as we go down the line.
