Mission Statement

Sofia & Alessia find mental health to be a delicate and important matter. We want to encourage people (specifically male-identifying) to seek help, to talk, and to open up.

The Story

Logline: Raffaello is on the path of healing when he meets Camille, and everything will go downhill.

As of December 12th, 2022 we have our first cut of the movie! It is so exciting to see the project we have all worked so hard on come to life!

BUT WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!  Unfortunately, as with many independent film productions, we have run into several logistical and budgetary challenges (ah, filmmaking).  While we already produced the movie, we need extra help for our post-production costs in addition to refunding people that during production went out of pocket to make it happen. The post-production includes coloring, sound mixing, scoring, end credit graphic, poster, and obviously Film Festivals!

We're now raising an additional $5k to cover our overages!  Please visit www.seedandspark.com/fund/camille to learn how you can still contribute!

Can't make a financial contribution, but still want to help?  Donate goods and services like snacks, catering, film festival waivers, etc. and you can see your name or your company's name in the lights in our film credits!  Contact [email protected] with your offer!

Because of you, we got CAMILLE further than we could have ever dreamed.  Now let's get us through our post-production hurdles so we can get this film finished!

Thank YOU again!

Because we are badass creators. That’s why. What? Okay fine we’ll explain why we’re badasses.

Alessia Crucci, our Producer/Director/Writer is an amazing Italian producer with credits such as Leaving the Factory - Winner of the 2022 Russo Brother Film Foundation Award, D-Day for Denise - which won Best Producer at Florence Film Festival, and Heart or Mind - which was nominated for 11 awards and won 4.

Sofía Bragar, our Producer/Co-Director/Lead Actress is an amazing Chilean triple-threat with credits such as Augment on Amazon Prime, Five-Tool Player, and Imposter The Series.

(See? We’re talented badasses!!) We decided it would be amazing if we put our creative juices to work together, and that’s how two badass women with amazing careers came up with Camille.

Raffaello is on the path of healing when he meets Camille, and everything will go downhill.

What if everything you believed to be true is in reality only a fantasy?

We dive into the importance of mental health, specifically with male/male identifying mental health. Keeping ourselves accountable in this matter is sososo important. Mental health is a subject that slowly but steadily has started to become an important topic in our society. It is spoken more about, but we need to keep digging within ourselves and reach out for guidance when needed through therapists, psychiatrists, friends, family, etc.

Caring about this film is caring about the message: ‘MEN STRUGGLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES TOO AND IT'S IMPORTANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT, SPEAK IT, AND SEEK HELP. MEN ARE ALLOWED TO FEEL EMOTIONS, TO BE VULNERABLE, AND BE TAKEN CARE OF’.

Well, let's say that making a $5,000 movie when we're still trying to pay out our LIFE is hard as f*ck.  So we need your help to cover these expenses (or maybe someone at Warner Bros who decides to finance us, both could work):

If math isn't your thing, here's an explanation of that colorful pie:

We’re raising funds for a 2 pages short script, which has already been shot and is currently during post-production. The majority of our budget is going towards equipment, crew, post-production, film festivals etc.

We used around $2,000 for production, where we paid insurance, camera equipment, G&E rentals, transportation aka gas, and crafty & lunch. The other $3,000 will go towards our post-production, which includes music, sound mixing, color grading, editing, and festival run. Funny how a good chunk of cash turns out to be a pretty tight budget once you break it all down, huh?

Yeah, making a movie is not as cheap as it seems... at least if you want to make it right! And we want to make it perfect to rack up all those awards!

Awards? Oh yeah, we're already strategizing on festival run and looking at some awesome platforms to deliver our short film right into your screens! Isn't this cool? Absolutely. Told you we’re badass!
