Story
Mission Statement
I, myself am a woman of color and have many women on the production side of my team. I have made it a point to have woman and people of color involved in my film. The protagonist is an older woman and there is a half half male female ratio though the woman get more screen time!About The Project
WELCOME!
Thank you for checking out my film Classic Punk. It is an ode to one of my favorite times in America. I love the anarchy, the fight in every person of the scene. As with one of my favorite lines of music, "You got to fight for your right to PARTY." and that is what this story boils down to.
Dorothy our protagonist has to regain finacial freedom when her children try to put her in an elderly home. She turns to sex work as her last attempt at being able to live her life the way she wants to.
Why this and why me you ask? Because its a bold, unique story and it deserves to be told. It is an attempt to be inclusive, humanizing and non judgemental about a character that is fairly polorizing. I can not wait to share this story with everyone and thank you for stopping by!

Ashley Hiatt, Sukhdeep Sohi, Aimee Joy Mann, James Mckenzie, and Simone Cortes met at Brooklyn College Film School and have been working together since.
Ashley, Director, is energized by telling untold weird, strange, and taboo stories. Ashley works hard to make those stories feel as human as possible.
Aimee, Co-Producer, is a freelance producer/production manager specializing in short form content. Aimee puts passion and organization into her projects.
Sukhdeep, Producer, is a freelance producer specializing in TV shows and short films. Deep puts enthusiasm and hard work into his projects.
Simone, Assistant Director, is a freelance 1st assistant director. She specializes in optomizing efficiency, communication, and scheduling. Simone is straightforward, responsible, and an industry professional.
James is a freelance director of photography. He shoots narrative films, music videos, corporate videos, and webseries. He has a very keen eye and brings a sharp visual edge to everything he shoots.
