PREPARE FOR COMBAT, EMBRACE THE CHAOS!!!
Our vision for this project was to recreate the experience of a video game walkthrough. In scenes with storytelling elements, we've chosen to use pixelated animations reminiscent of the 90s. However, during action-packed fight sequences, we've opted for dynamic, live-action sequences inspired by the fluid choreography seen in Hong Kong cinema.
From the courageous heroes battling hordes of villains and confronting formidable bosses on each level, to the retro-style music that sets the backdrop, we aim to pay homage to beloved classics like Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, and Final Fight. Our ultimate goal is to create a project that invokes a strong sense of nostalgia, rekindling the cherished memories of every gamer's childhood with each viewing.

Since I was a teenager, I have had a love for filmmaking and gaming. As a gamer, I had a high appreciation for playing beat 'em-up games throughout my childhood. As I grew into my adult years, I’ve learned to turn my ambitions into reality as forever reminiscing about the good old days, twiddling my thumbs on my Super Nintendo. For this passion project, I wanted to invoke nostalgia in the audience. I want to bring my viewers where they can go back to memory lane.
Beat ‘em Up was my favorite game genre during my childhood, and it still is. I’ve seen many fan adaptation films based on video games, but not so many surround the style and the heart of beat ‘em up games. I want to show the world what we are, as gamers, capable of expressing our appreciation. I’ve learned about Beat ‘em Up games to overcome challenges to reach my goal! And this goal will be reached.
