An exciting thriller inspired by actual events. It's 1981 and the 10th anniversary of the unsolved DB Cooper hijacking. On a routine flight a man, calling himself Cooper, hands the flight attendant a note saying he has a bomb and demanding ransom. Can she save the passengers before time runs out?
Mission StatementWe are a creative and diverse team of filmmakers committed to bringing amazing stories to life by utilizing film's ability to transport us to different times and places, allow us to gain deep insights into the world around us and inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves.
About The Project
1981: the dawn of the 80s. The year that both Mario and Donkey Kong debuted, the year Lady Diana became Princess Di, the year the DeLorean graced the world. It was a really big year. It's also the setting for our high stakes thriller, Cooper.
It's just your everyday tale: wakeup, go to work, get hijacked by a guy with a bomb at 30,000 feet... Okay, not so everyday, but it’s a heck of a thriller!
A routine flight hits turbulence when a hijacker disrupts the everyday lives of seemingly ordinary people. What appears purely happenstance, might actually be calculative genius... only time will tell and the clock's ticking. In addition to a thrilling, high-stakes adventure ride, the story explores the strength of the human resolve; action and consequence; and relationships when our characters are put to the test in a life or death situation.
We are creating an entertaining film with a solid commitment to cinematic excellence, telling a great story, and getting the details right. We've secured an actual Boeing 727, the same type of airplane the real DB Cooper hijacked, and have some pretty rad recreations of the now defunct Northwest Orient Airlines to really create the world of 1981.
With everything seeming to be turned upside down in our world right now, sometimes you need to just sit back and escape into a really good story. We want to take our viewers on a thrill ride that will help them forget the world for just a few minutes and enjoy a great story, great acting and phenomenal production value.
We have been blessed to have the majority of our team contribute their time and totally awesome skill sets, and have had the immense blessing to film for trade at some amazing locations such as: Binions in Las Vegas, Newport News Airport, and The Smokey Griddle Pancake House in Williamsburg, Virginia.
But now comes the best part: The Plane.
We are so excited to have access to a Boeing 727, but outfitting the plane and ensuring we have enough time to get the coverage we need is the single biggest expense of the film.
With your help, we will be able to provide a period correct location, and well executed shots to make the best film possible!
