Crazy Sexy Oreos was inspired by creators, Adrian Snow and Dyani Rejae, navigating the ins and outs of improv at the Los Angeles chapter of the Upright Citizens Brigade. Through our time there, we've found that the funniest stories comes from our tragically outrageous lives.

Story
Mission Statement
The story itself is about two Black women who haven't historically fit in anywhere. The term, Oreo, is a direct reference to the outsider view held by Black people who navigate White spaces. The producers of Crazy Sexy Oreos want to have diversity in front and behind the camera.About The Project
The Women behind Crazy Sexy Oreos
The story of Crazy Sexy Oreos came about as many things between Adrian Snow and Dyani Rejae do: over a glass of wine.
Having recieved a warm reception for the past four years as the improv team Oreo, we decided that we should take our style to the screen. Having both worked mainly in front of the camera, the roles of producer and director our new for us, but thankfully we have a lot of help from the film and improv communities.
Both from Houston, Texas, the Home of Beyonce, but having never met there, we want to tell a different story about being Black in America. For the alternative kids, the valley girls, and the outsiders we want to showcase the wide variety of Black experiences through a comedic lens.
When we took time to reflect on our lives, we found the humor in microaggresions, interracial dating, devout religous parents, code switching, and a never ending love for yacht rock that isn't always showcased in media. We hope, that if given the opportunity, we can tell a story you've never heard before, and have you laugh along the way.
About the Series
Crazy Sexy Oreos is a short web series, no episode longer than 5-6 minutes, and season one comprising of only 3 episodes. We hope to expand for the second season, but need your help.
With the first season, we've been given approval to take it to festivals and showcase our story to a wider audience. If you're wondering the tone imagine a Black Broad City or Insecure set in Los Feliz...a very different story when you leave the south side.
Stylistically we will work to take cues from classic skectch and comedy shows, but are hoping to also play with a darker edge inspired by Michel Gondry and Wes Anderson. (We see you film buffs)
But all in all, we really just want to make you laugh and occasionally go "hmm."
The Shoot
We're looking to shoot all three episodes over the course of three days. That's a very quick turn around when you consider locations, crew, and what it normally takes to shoot one page on a studio television show. We're calling in a lot of favors, but being that we are sending this festivals, we want to invest in a quality production and post production.
With Dyani and Adrian serving not only as producers, and the leads of the show, we are juggling a lot of machetes (they're cooler than balls), and having the flexibility in budget to ensure a smooth shoot will certainly make for smoother days on set.
We know that not everyone can donate, but sharing via social media, telling your friends, and even your grandma are also wonderful ways to help.
Thank you so much for checking us out! We look forward to showing you Crazy, Sexy, Oreos!
