Story
Mission Statement
We are a group of students from all different walks of life who are determined to follow our dreams. We all offer unique perspectives on life, and the story we want to tell is for anyone who has ever faced hardship and questioned their path because of it.About The Project
Cassandra Anne (Cass), an 18-year-old hopes to attend a Recording Arts school in New York, her mother Susan, however, is terminally ill, and complains about the price of top schools. Cass has to go through her journey of finding out what she really wants for herself all while dealing with terrible hearkbreak.
The money raised for this film will be used for the production and post production, ensuring we are making the best film possile. $1,500 will be used to pay our super talented cast. $1,000 is specially for camera department for equipment (rentals) such as lenses, a jib, and a dolly. $600 will be used for craft services on shooting days to feed our hyper talented cast and crew. Another $1,100 dollars will go to production design in order to have the best costumes and set design possible for our film. $300 will be used to secure the right locations for shooting. $200 will be used for transportation in order to travel with equipment and allow our cast and crew to carpool as opposed to using public transport. The remainder will be used after the film is made. We plan to submit our finished product to many film festivals in hopes of getting recognition for the project we are all so passionate about.
Covid Safety plan:
Our team is following Hollywood protocol for safe shooting during production. We will be utilizing small crews and limited cast in order to practice proper social distancing and maintain professional hygiene requirements. We will also have a crew member dedicated to the cleanliness of the set as well as making sure everyone is following proper safety guidelines. We value the health and well being of all of our team members and staying safe is our number 1 priority.Incentives

About This Team
The team for ‘Daydreamer’ is super diverse, including a Chinese director, and a Spanish cinematographer, with our cast and crew ranging from film students to Hollywood veterans.
Hailey Russell is a senior at CU Denver interested in writing and acting. She has written 3 other films and directed one of them. This will be her fourth film brought to the screen and he is excited to share her vision with the world. After graduation, she hopes to join the industry as a screenwriter in LA. Daydreamer is about finding yourself and being true to your passions despite the struggle life brings. She is looking forward to sharing this message, especially during a time when many things are uncertain.
Yasong Wang is the director of this film Daydreamer, she comes from Beijing, China. She is currently a film student at CU Denver. Her dream is to be a film director and producer in the future. She has directed several short films, some of which were selected by international film festivals. She loves to share interesting stories with people.
Alexander Elmore is a senior at the University of Colorado Denver focusing on writing and directing. After graduation, he plans to move to California to pursue a career as a screenwriter. He's excited about working on "Daydreamer" because the story is one that resonates with him and, he hopes, others. It's about remaining true to yourself and figuring out how to do that while dealing with the unexpected things life throws at you.
Charlie is a filmmaker specializing in cinematography and lighting design from Pozuelo de Alaracon, Spain. He is a current senior at the University of Colorado, Denver in the film and television production program. Charlie is a lover of all stories and telling them through visual design and aesthetics.
Gus Williams is the production designer for Daydreamer. He builds props in his free time and loves the unique styles and fashions people wear. He is excited to help bring daydreamer and its characters to life!
Phoenix Sol Zito is an actor, cinematographer, filmmaker, and stuntman based in Denver, Colorado. He has more than 60 productions under his belt, including multiple award-winning short films, and even PSA's for the city of Denver. Phoenix's work can even be seen on television, as well as film festivals around the world.
Christopher is an award-winning Director of Photography and filmmaker currently finishing his Bachelor's Degree in Film and Television at the University of Colorado Denver with an Associate of Applied Science in Video Production under his belt already. He has been working professionally in the industry for over four years now, with multiple commercial based projects, short films, and documentaries. Chris has always been drawn to film, but the thing that attracts him most is the medium's ability to reach and affect people's lives in profound ways. Its ability to influence a flourishing future that improves circumstance and resolves problems offering a perspective all who walk this Earth.
