Remember obsessively collecting coins as a kid? Beanie babies? Baseball cards? Perhaps, model horses? We want to make a short mockumentary about horse girls in the vein of ‘What We Do In The Shadows,’ with a 90s aesthetic. Our end goal being to eventually make it into a full length feature.

Mission Statement
Our film was created by a woman, will be directed by a woman, and is being produced by women. Additionally, all our leads will be women. It’s an estrogen celebration!About The Project
Hello! Thank you so much for visiting my campaign page. I am so excited to get this project rolling, but first I want to tell you a little more about it.
FANTASY PONY is one giant throwback to my childhood. From the props, to the hair and make up, to the the model horses, this project will be reminiscent of my 90s upbringing, but set in present day. To further add to the 90s feel we will be filming in the style of VHS. Yes, you heard that correct. We are passionate about this style because it is so familiar to us, and it is also timely. The 90s are in, and filming with this style will help our project stand out in festivals. Also, it’s fun!
Growing up, I was a huge fan of horses. My walls were decorated in those calender horse cut-outs; I had horse folders, binders, accessories; I took horseback riding lessons, volunteered at a horse rescue, played imaginary games pretending I was a horse, and obsessively collected Breyer horses. They always say to write what you know first, right? Well, I know this world too intimately. SO, here we are.
This is the first project I've ever written, created, produced - the first project I've made from the ground up. Our goal is to produce a piece of art that stands alone to submit on the short film festival circuit, but also inspires investors to help us turn this into a full-length feature. We hope to raise $10,000 to fund our short film. With this budget we will be able to pay our team, OF WOMEN!, SAG standard wages as per our short film agreement.
No amount is too small! If you can't donate financially, we are looking for all the help we can get in other ways - time, equipment, props, or even just sharing this campagain with others!
Thank you so much for your support.
It means the world to me and my team.
- Caroline
