Story
Mission Statement
Fabian, the protagonist in "Fate", is the embodiment of young adults trying to find their way as adults. With several characters of diverse ages, races, and classes, our film sheds light on the struggle of the early-20's, recent college graduate lost in the working world, looking for themselves.About The Project
We are film students in our senior year at Towson University. After years of learning and adding fuel to our passion for film, we've finally arrived on what is to be our "senior thesis film" and our final film before graduation. We are really excited for to bring this film to life, and can't wait to have you be part of this adventure with us!
Everyone hates missing out on something great and everyone, at some point in their lives, has found themself wondering, "What if?"Fate is a short film that captures this feeling through the intellectual and emotional struggle of it's protagonist, Fabian.
Fate is, at its simplest form, a film about love and missed opportunities. A young waiter, Fabian, has been a strong believer that no matter what choices a person makes in their life, their future is already predetermined by fate. He trusts that a higher power has chosen his path for him and will eventually give him what he believes he is meant to have. Most of Fabian's friends know of his stance on fate and have made countless, yet futile, efforts to sway his thinking. Especially as his most prized desire to date comes into focus.
Fate and it's message applies not only to love, but to all situations in life that present the opportunity to choose between deciding your own future or letting that opportunity pass by.

About This Team
From Director Berlin Waechter, Director of Photography Adrilenzo Cassoma, and Producer Nicholas Vonakis comes Fate, a short film about a young man's struggle to find a balance between his belief in his own destiny and taking control over his own life.
We are three passionate, aspiring filmmakers dedicated to creating films based off of our own personal life experiences that send powerful messages to all who view our work!
Berlin Waechter, our Director and the creative force behind Fate, wrote this story to bring light to a common issue for men and women alike. He has a keen eye for recognizing the struggles that young people endure every day of their lives and seeks to provide a solutions them. He vividly expresses his ideas on paper when it comes to scriptwriting and has an uncanny ability to convey the visual, emotional, and conceptual aspects of a story through his characters and the actions they take.
Adrilenzo Cassoma, "Lenzo" for short, is the man behind the camera. Our Director of Photography was chosen for his out-of-the-box thinking when it comes to transforming words on paper into beautiful cinematic art. Lenzo is a no nonsense cinematographer and always strives to express a film's message in a powerful manner that takes an audience into the world of the films he makes.
Nicholas A.K.A "Niko" Vonakis is a producer in every sense of the word. He is the man behind the scenes, pulling all the strings to bring Fate to life. Niko's charismatic personality and passionate drive for success will prove indispensable when it comes to aligning all of the elements needed to make a film. No matter what the task, Niko will get it done and get it done right.
