Hi, I’m Elizabeth Cantu, a Latina writer and filmmaker, and I’m thrilled to share my directorial debut, Filters.
Filters is a short horror film about two college girls having a fun night experimenting with social media filters. But what starts as harmless laughs quickly becomes a terrifying nightmare — because sometimes the filters don’t just change your face… they reveal things you’re not ready to see.
I’m making this film because Latino voices deserve to be heard, both in front of and behind the camera. I’m casting two Latina actresses for the lead roles, because representation matters. Our stories, our experiences, and our fears belong in every genre — yes, even horror.
Independent filmmaking isn’t easy, and that’s why I need your help. Your support will go directly to:
