The Story
Guerrilla is a story about finding your "why". Why do I do what I do? Why do I have dreams? Why am I trying to be the person I am trying to be? Based on true events, our story follows Marco, a young man attempting to find his 'why' by taking a bike ride back into boyhood.
A visual album, Guerrilla features six original songs from rising musical artists across the country. Each song represents a different stage of Marco's life, showing the lasting impact that music has on our memories.
The making of Guerrilla is not like other films. The title itself refers to the nontraditional, unorthodox, and independent process of making this story. The purpose of our film is not to win an oscar or any other professional or monetary gain. Our mission is to tell our story in the most honest way we can.
Guerrilla is written and directed by Boston University student GianCarlo Lobo and has been in production since September of 2019. The film crew is made up of students from Boston University, Berklee College of Music, University of Massachusetts: Amherst, UCLA, USC, and passionate, young individuals trying to tell a story about loss, self-love, and learning.
We recently wrapped shooting and are now in post-production! With our finalized film, we want to share this with family, friends, and our creative community for free online!
