About This Team
The Hollies team consists of diverse, young, energetic, and talented filmmakers who strive to make pieces that resonate positively with viewers.
The Writer/Director, Jennifer Ayo-Akinyemi is a Nigerian born, Los Angeles raised photographer and filmmaker who received 2 Bachelor of Arts degrees from Mount. St. Mary's College in English and Film & Social Justice. Her strong admiration for filmmaking developed when she began working on the sets of numerous films and for companies such as Dick Clark Productions, AFI Fest, and the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Her company, Iyun Imagery is geared towards directing,producing, and editing riveting and inspiring online content.
The Producer, Tayra Quinones is a graduate from the University of California, Berkeley. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She transferred to the University of California, Berkeley in 2011 from GlendaleCommunity College. While at Glendale Community College she served as the student government's Senator of Finance and Campus Relations. For the Finance Committee, Tayra and her colleagues were responsible for deciding the distribution of a $300,00 annual budget. At the University of California, Berkeley she served as President of PublicRelations for the club, Berkeley Undergraduate Sociology Association. Her ardent love of film brought her to being an associate producer for "The Hollies". Tayra believes this is an important story to tell, because of our ever increasing exposure to media. There is a fine line between how media serves society in a beneficial way, and how it can also harm us with its constant exposure to certain expectations about who we should be.are well educated and passionate producers whose screenwriting and lawbackgrounds serve as strong backbones to the projects they are involved in.
Cannes award winning cinematographer, Edwin Kim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the prestigious Brook Institute. A veteran of 8 plus years in the camera and lighting department, Edwin is always using his knowledge to create compelling visual pieces. From making documentaries in South Africa, to underwater camera work, Edwin’s dedication to working behind the camera is impeccable. His keen eye for accuracy and beauty, continue to influence his unforgettablepicturesque and breathtaking shots.
