Be Not Afraid of Greatness- Feste Twelfth Night
Hollywood Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night is a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy that centers around a girl named Viola, washed up on the shore of an unfamiliar coastal town, and her attempts to make a new life for herself. While dressed as a man to hide her identity she is finds herself falling in love with her employer, and once great musician, Duke Orsino. To complicate matters further, Viola is pursued by Olivia, a vivacious heiress who is unaware of Viola’s true identity.
As the tale unfolds, Olivia's drunk uncle Toby Belch and his mob of motley misfits team up to put Olivia's pretentious publicist, Malvolio, in his place. Watching over everything is the original wise fool, Feste, dishing out his brand of wisdom to anyone with a buck.
Twelfth Night is an inspiring tale of self-identity, love lost and found, and madcap mischief along the way.
This film will be the first in a ongoing series of films produced by Hollywood Shakespeare. Our mission is to find new and exciting ways to adapt Shakespeare's plays to film, preserving the original language, but bring the stories to a new millenia.
Historically Shakespeare was a source of entertainment for everyone. The lofty ideals found in his plays were peppered with bawdy jokes. Themes of love, loss, and revenge were not emotions limited to any one social class. Over time though, things changed, and his plays became viewed as more academic. Between high costs of attending the theater and high school students being forced to sit and READ the plays (it's theater...it's meant to be performed), the passion for Shakespeare waned and Shakespeare festival attendance hit an all-time low in 2015.
Beyond just a desire to adapt Shakespeare's plays to film, Hollywood Shakespeare is driven by a single word: Accessibility. We will be releasing our films online for an affordable cost so that ticket price and location will not deter our audiences. We intend to use the highly visual medium of film to help make the language and stories easier to understand. We want to breathe a new life into old stories and inspire people to turn back to the classics.
We are not afraid of greatness, we just need your help to achieve it.

About This Team
The group we have assembled is as diverse as Shakespeare's works itself, but we do have a common bond in our love for the Bard's work.
Director Ned Record and Producer Jule Neslson-Duac have been working tirelessly to assemble the most creative and hard working actors, designers, and producers they can find in order to make this dream a reality.
Ned Record (Director) has been performing Shakespeare for most of his life, and attended the presitigious Central School of Speech and Drama in London, where he received his Master's Degree in Classical Acting under the tutelage of Rob Clare. He has performed, directed, and taught classical acting in 5 states and 2 different countries. He's also been an avid filmmaker since age 17, leaving for a time to purse stage acting, but has now returned (with a vengence)
Jule Nelson Duac (Line Producer/Maria)
Jule has a BFA in Acting from Texas Christian University where she wrote her honors thesis on "Demystifying Shakespeare", a two year study coaching and directing Shakespearean texts. She also attended the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland where she studied under Patrick Sutton. She has produced several films (both live action and animated) with her production company Origami T-Rex.
Gordon Kelly (Producer/Business Manager)
Gordon Kelly has been working in the arts for over 15 years. Focusing on online strategy, marketing, advertising, producing, audience development and business stagy. After receiving a BFA in Theatre from Southwestern University in Georgetown Texas and an MA in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy from Goldsmiths College University of London, Mr. Kelly worked on productions in London’s West End, and in New York both on and off Broadway. His finest work was serving as Marketing Director for the Tony Award winning musical Jersey Boys.
The Husband/Wife team of Charles Baker(Feste) and Rachel Baker (Fabian) are working not only as actors on this project, but also as the film's associate producers. Charles is most often recoginzed as Skinny Pete from the cirtically acclaimed series Breaking Bad. His body of work includes: Ain't Them Bodies Saints, To The Wonder, and most recently Neon Demon.
Jessica Record(Press Liason/Valentine) Graduated Summa Cum Laude from TCU with a BFA in Theater Performance and a BBA in Finance. She has served as Marketing Associate for Brazosport Center Stages and Business Manager for Promethean Theater Ensemble. Jessica was also a performing member of Chicago dell'Arte, as well as their Press Liaison before her move to Los Angeles.
