Mission Statement

Our cast is 75% female. We also make it a priority to elevate women into roles of leadership and artistic input on our behind the scenes crew.

The Story

It's Okay is a Science Fiction short film created by us - two actors/friends, Audrey Flegel and Stephen Laferriere, when we discovered that we both share a love of Sci-Fi! All art opens the mind, but Science Fiction opens up worlds and possibilities that don't even exist yet, which to us, is just freakin awesome. We've been working on this project for almost a year now, and IT. IS. READY. We cannot wait to bring this story and these characters to life!

We find common ground in the belief that being an actor is not just about "getting cast" or "booking a job." It's about creating what we're passionate about.

Our art is to tell stories. Not only for entertainment, but to give people the experience of moving from

I couldn’t imagine what that life is like” to "I understand how that person feels.” Which, in essence, is an attempt to create empathy.

Our main characters, Cam and Alex, are just an average couple, going about thier lives, when something strange starts happening. Through their experience, we tell a story about a human condition we all share

We knew Science Fiction was the right medium for our film because there aren't any limits to the experiences a person can go through in Science Fiction. We have both been hugely influenced by Sci-fi our whole lives and are jumping out of our sking to make our own contribution to the genre!

Justin Giddings and Ryan Welsh are two actors who joined forces to become one of the hottest new writing teams in Los Angeles. After meeting on the set of the hit zombie comedy series BITE ME (a Machinima/Lionsgate series with over 60 million views on YouTube alone), the two have since gone on to write and direct the festival-winning film THIS IS NORMAL and the sci-fi epic OUTPOST. Their production company Giddy Welshmen Productions is now developing their first two features – the thriller DARK WINTER and the Western NO GOOD MEN LEFT ALIVE.

Audrey falls in love with every cat she meets, instantly. A Chicago native transplanted to LA, you may recognize her from a bunch of commercials. She teaches at the Second City Training Center Hollywood, and is an alum of the School at Steppenwolf, and AMDA NYC.  While she already loves the films, she’s currently reading Stephen King’s IT, for the first time. Poor Georgie.

Stephen Laferriere is a New England born and raised boy who then moved to New York City, then San Francisco, and now Los Angeles with his wonderful wife and 100lb dog. He recently became a father to a beautiful baby boy which makes him very proud but also very tired. Like all the time tired.

Heather is a singer/actor originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. She likes scary movies, polka dots, and equality.

Rebekah Walendzak is an actor, writer and teacher of sketch comedy writing. She loves her husband, Joe, and their dogs, Mary Jane Watson and Shirley Feeney. Rebekah is a fan of giraffes and soup.

Michael is an actor and coffee connoisseur living deep in the OC burbs. He and his wife spend their time analyzing hagfish data and auditioning, respectively. He's immensely stoked to be dabbling in the producing arts and can't wait for this project to get rolling!

Paul Culos is a midwestern transplant in LA. He's a graduate from Western Michigan University in theatre and received his masters in acting at UC Irvine. When he's not delving into classical theatre, you'll find him on TV in Shameless, Modern Family, The Middle, and more. Paul loves yoga, graphic design, Olivia Colman, and knows an embarrassing amount about Star Wars.
