This is a LOVE story. It just goes a little awry. We want to make films with LGBTQ leads that tell different stories not just revolving around their sexuality. We want to show a beautiful story of two women falling in love, just with a twist.

Mission Statement
As a filmmaker, I want to explore queer stories throughout the genres, and back away from the typical LGBTQ coming of age films. Our crew will be predominately women and those in the LGBTQ+ community, as a way to promote inclusion and aid in telling the fantastic story of two women falling in love.About The Project
Story:
How well do you know the ones you love? Jenna is a twenty-four year old writer living in Los Angeles who likes to read her poetry at open mic nights in the city. All she has ever wanted was to love and be loved, and she believes her chance encounter with the mysterious and alluring Sam will lead to her dreams coming true. However, the more she reveals of herself, the less she seems to know about her new lover. Could the woman of her dreams be that of nightmares?
Still: Directed by Lina Kraftsoff
Who We Are:
Our cast and crew will be primarily female identifying and queer as a way of providing real life lesbian representation within the genre of thriller. Our director, Lina Kraftsoff is a non-binary artist who loves to bring queer storylines to life. We want to emphasize the female gaze within our cinematography to combat the sexualization of the LGBTQ characters as seen in many films. We want to bring a new kind of story to the queer community; one with a darker twist. This project is written and produced by Miranda Barraza, and has become a passionate example of the art she wishes to create. We are all students in our junior and senior year at Columbia College Hollywood film school, where we've been studying our craft thoughout the pandemic. This film has been in the process of development for over six months and has become a larger project within itself, and will serve as a stand alone proof of concept for a feature film. We will be releasing visual poems on our Instagram each week inspired by Jenna's romantic poetry.
Our Mission:
This campaign is meant to bring the film to action. We want to be able to show representation of two creative women living in Los Angeles, falling in love, and will need sufficient funds to lock down locations, permits, equipment, and insurance. We've found beautiful sets that we can rent out that really show the film's vision. By pledging to our campaign, we can make sure to get those perfect locations and ensure that our talented crew that is volunteering their time to make this film happen, get fed well over our five days on set. There are so many other cost that go into making a film, without your help, it can't happen. We’ve found two unbelievable actresses with undeniable chemistry to make this film come to life, both of which have a notable past with other short films. We hope to take this short to a variety of fesitvals and gain a way towards making it into a feature film! Every step closer to our goal we get, we’ll be able to make our artistic vision a reality. The car is built, we just need some gas! We plan to host a premire for our highest contributors, as well as online screening as soon as the film is finished. Please share this page with two or more friends and help spread the word about our film, I’ve Been Waiting…
Our Cast:

Victoria Karr as Sam

Current Team
About This Team
I am a queer filmmaker and student, who is currently majoring in producing at Columbia College Hollywood. I've always had a love of romantic stories, but especially loved those with a darker twist. I want to bring the LGBTQ community to different genres as leading roles in pursuit of inclusion. I'd love to see someone like myself in more films that don't soley focus on LGBTQ issues.
My name is Lina Kraftsoff and I'm a director/ photographer from Germany. I came the the U.S. when I was 19 to attend Columbia College Hollywood. Fast forward a couple of years later and I find myself sharing stories that matter to me. I often realize the power of my unique perspective being not only a foreigner but also part-Jewish, gay, and non-binary. As much as I don't like putting myself in a box, these are all big parts of who I am and I try my best to express and explore them through the art I create. My mission as a filmmaker is to change the industry into a more inclusive space that accurately represents characters.
