Killing it! is about foolishly following your dreams, leaning on the people that love you and never apologizing for who you are. Season 2 of Killing it! follows Mares and Kaps on the biggest adventure of their life time: leaving the apartment and making their dreams reality. Help us do this!

Story
Mission Statement
Killing it! is the film baby of Jonathan Kaplan and Marianne Bayard. Jonathan is a half-Jewish, half-Honduran from Long Island. Marianne is a woman, of northern European descent, married to a Japanese native. This is a combined effort with both their voices.About The Project
***Watch Season 1 of Killing it! here!***
Jonathan and Marianne met in 2010.She was being Cher, and he was being a plant.
5 years later, their paths crossed again.
In 2015, Marianne moved 300 miles away from Jonathan, and that's where their story really begins.
As a not-so-much-acting actor in Boston, Marianne wanted 'comic material' for her reel so she could actually get a job. Being that Jonathan was a comedic and graphic wiz, she knew he'd be a great partner.
And so they started writing stories from their own lives, using situations from their jobs and relationships, breathing life into the best friend duo. They left no stone unturned, digging deep, exposing their dreams, their fears, their most ugly thoughts and feelings. Soon, they realized what they were writing about was themselves, their clowns, Mares and Kaps.
What began as a few, 2-3 minute scenes became a fervant chase after something bigger, better and much more powerful.
The story of Marianne and Jonathan is equally as insane and unrelenting.
The artistic pair have never lived in the same city. Their creative process takes place on the phone, via text, Google chat, and sending videos and documents vnia google drive. They've spent vacation days from their day jobs to meet up in NYC, Boston, Pittsburgh, Long Island- any place to have some time to write, brainstorm and develop the 'Mares 'n Kaps' dynamic.
They have spent hundreds of dollars on travel, hotels, Airbnb, studio spaces, and countles hours in coffee shops and diners, usually being way too loud and often times overstaying their welcome.
They have invested thousands of personal monies in hiring film and sound crews, renting equipment, paying professional post production and color artists, along with hundreds of hours spent by Jonathan alone, on editing all Killing it! videos, posters and promotional materials.
While working full time jobs!
Once season one was finally finished, Marianne and Jonathan started showing their work and were accepted into a couple festivals.
And now they are ready to go, full steam ahead to create an even better, more hilarious and sincere season 2. We want you to join us!
