The Story
LOSERS is a punk comedy about two washed up best friends, Mike and Ned, clinging to their youth in a decaying Rhode Island town. Mike dreams of opening a high-class DVD store like it’s still 2002, while Ned hides his crumbling health behind jokes and booze. When the duo discovers they need to scrape together $500 in a single day, they embark on a chaotic, increasingly ridiculous quest to raise the cash. From street hustles and oddball schemes to run-ins with local misfits, and a malfunctioning AI cop who longs to understand friendship, Mike and Ned stumble through an absurd day that tests the limits of their desperation and loyalty.
Equal parts raunchy buddy comedy, social satire, and absurd punk energy, LOSERS is Clerks meets Idiocracy—with heart.
We're making this film to prove a point. The cost of filmmaking has priced out creatives in such a way that there is a massive barrier between a project getting made and a project not. We want to prove that with limited resources, we can do more with less and encourage large scale productions to focus on paying creatives fair wages instead of bloating budget.
This movie is for everyone and anyone who is fed up with the same old, same old and wants something fresh and fun.
