Story
Mission Statement
In the US alone millions of children are neglected each year. Nobody's Home hopes to better represent children all over by bringing more attention to just how vital a stable home life is to a child. Telling this story, we have a multi-ethnic crew from different places, backgrounds and walks of life.About The Project
The Story
Nobody's Home follows the journey of a young boy, his imagination, and how he uses it in the face of domestic troubles.
Through fantasy, we want to explore just how much of an impact a rough home life can have on a child's well being. As crazy as imaginations can be, during difficult times one's mind can be the only stable place to retreat to.
Nobody's Home is a dark, emotional tale about what it's like to view and experience conflict at home through the lens of a child. An important story we hope you join us in telling!
The Style
One of the many fun challenges that come with making this film is creating a unique visual style that evolves subtly as we progress further into our main character's imagination.
Nobody's Home takes visual cues from films like: The Virgin Suicides, A Serious Man and The Silence.
The World
By choosing to set our film in the 1960s we'll not only transport you to the world of the boy's imagination, but also to the very place he's trying to escape: a "traditional American household" from nearly 60 years ago. Looking back on that time from here in 2019, it's incredible just how much things have both changed and stayed the same.
Bringing the 1960s to life convincingly is no easy task. Our talented and tireless Art Department has spent hours researching the period, and hunting down just the right pieces to keep the audience totally immersed in that time. From furniture, to appliances, to authentic kids' toys; the devil really is in the details.

Since leaving Arizona for the gold mines of California, he has had a stellar career as a producer and line producer having made over 100 feature films. Godfrey Flax - Producer
Born in Georgia and growing up in San Diego, Godfrey began performing at the age of thirteen as a stand-up comedian and has since studied acting and comedy in Los Angeles, New York, Germany, and Russia at places such as The American Comedy Institute, the Moscow Art Theatre, and receiving a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Loyola Marymount University.
