Mission Statement
The creator of PALADIN: THE BROTHERHOOD, Collin Arend, is an actor and independent filmmaker from San Diego, CA. Our film team is a group of young filmmakers across Western New York that are looking to bring an exciting story with dynamic and unique characters to any lovers of the fantasy genre.About The Project
STORY
The story of Paladin: The Brotherhood follows Orrik and Jace. These two brothers are sworn members of the Paladin order, a group of holy warriors devouted to the Goddess of Light, Maia.
Orrik and Jace's story takes them across a vast fantasty world. Along the way, they encounter a dangerous group of assassins and begin a desperate search for a rouge Paladin.
Orrik and Jace also must deal with their own personal issues. The brothers begin to realise they are much more different that they thought, and their differences could be detrementle to their quest. They must work through their issues if they are to succeed.
OUR MESSAGE
Creator of Paladin: The Brotherhood, Collin Arend, wanted to explore the different perspectives of the brothers throughout the series. He hopes that audiences connect with the characters and begin to see that there are always two sides to any subject; and that empathy and compassion can ultimately make the world a better place.
OUR TEAM
Our team is made up of filmmakers, actors, and creative minds across Western New York. We have all worked together on one production or another and are excited to get together to create an original and exciting series together.
Most productions we have worked on in the film industry are often cookie cutter, remakes, or just bland. We are looking to spice up what is created in our local film market and show the potential of our cast and crew.
PILOT EPISODE
You can now see our pilot episode at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csNXWZqcSRA
The pilot episode has also been accepted into 8 film festivals and has won awards at the WRPN.TV Global Webisode Competition, Accolade Global Film Competition, and the Best Shorts Competition.
FUNDING
With pre-production underway, our hope is to raise funds primarily for our art and production team to have the supplies they need to create the world of Paladin.
Our first desire is to ensure our creative team is paid for their time and effort. They are all skilled filmmakers and we want to compensate them accordingly.
The bulk of our pre-pro budget is going to supplies so that our team can create the props, costumes, and sets to bring the world of Paladin to life.
Our projected goal for pre-production is $3,500. We believe this goal is achievable and will give us a boost to keep moving forward toward production.
THE FUTURE OF PALADIN
Going into season one of Paladin: The Brotherhood, we are looking to film 8 additonal episodes, all between 5 to 10 minutes in length.
Production is planned to begin in August of 2021 and wrap in December of 2021.
We hope to begin releasing episodes in Spring of 2022 on Seed&Spark, Amazon, Youtube, and Vimeo.
After the creation of season one, we hope to go on to create a total of 4 seasons.
