About The Project
The father's last words of wisdom to his son is: "Life is a gift and time never pauses, so enjoy every precious second." This is the message I want to inject into the hearts of the audience. I want them to ask, "Am I making the most out of my time with those important to me?" I want to show that with a passionate crew and cast, and thought out camera movements and angles, and compelling music, etc. that a "two people in a room" element can be turned into an ambitious, competitive film. This 5 page script received accolades from the MoviePoet.com community: "I loved this. It's so simple and yet so powerful. It makes me think of all the things I want to tell my daughter." "The dialogue is excellent, the interraction between father and son,the moments of comedy, the dramatic irony. This is perfect and so, so simple to film." "This one I'll remember for a long time." "A clever, engaging and heartfelt screenplay filled with big emotions."

Current Team
About This Team
Brandy Roberts is co-owner of Emerald Slate Productions. We have our own equipment and Adobe CS6 editing software, so renting is not an issue. From writing, casting, directing, editing, etc., we have complete creative control of our projects, which is the main reason we decided to launch our studio this year. Brandy has a gift of knowing how characters should move, and I've watched her improve scenes in productions, both shorts and features, for several years. We're determined to create compelling stories and competitive films. Iowa has an amazing pool of film talent and experienced crew (The Experiment, Peacock, The Crazies, Bully, Dead Awake).
