There are so many ways to answer this question, What do you believe?.
REASON explores a series of events that happen in one evening. Four stories tied together by the thin thread of "coincidence", "accident" or... "Reason"
The idea of REASON has been on the mind of Writer Gary J. Klavans most of his life.
He eventually wrote the script in 2010.
Inspired by the insistence of an old friend - Trisha Miller, Gary teamed up with Director Graeme Finlayson. Gary & Graeme already have a history of making award-winning shorts together.
DIAMOND CONFIDENTIAL and JUST THREE WORDS
They called in a few favors and put together an outstanding cast and crew.
The idea that this cast and crew would all be free on this one particular weekend was unprecedented.
Gary and Graeme knew at that moment; The film needed to be shot then.
"Get the film shot - we'll take our time in post-production!"
Getting it done right was most important and this wasn't just the right cast, it was the only cast for this project.

REASON was a passion project for Gary and when Graeme's schedule opened up, it seemed natural that the two decided to come together once more. Gary wrote the original draft while he and Graeme were at a film festival. Over time and many rewites, the script was ready. All we needed at that point was...

Bringing on the crew was next and we found magic behind the scenes. We've said before, having this much talent available in one weekend, we knew we had to shoot the film. We've come as far as we could with what we had. We now need you to help us complete this project.
