Rowan is faced with two choices. To go back to who she was with him- fire, passion, and free or who she is now- secure, content, and still in love, just different. Told with heart, from personal experience, Saturday morning is a story of what so many of us face in life- arriving at the crossroads.

Story
Mission Statement
We are two Latino artists who want to tell real, authentic stories. Stories of our pasts. Stories from our experiences. Stories you will relate to. For Brandon's directorial debut, we want to give you just that. A short story that went viral on Twitter, now it's time to bring it to life.About The Project
Summary
Love is a complicated thing. It's never as easy as it looks. Behind two individuals is usually a story that belongs just to them. Saturday Morning will give you a glimpse into that secrecy we all feel when we are left in the dust by a lover and the process of forcing ourselves to heal and fall in love again.
In our short film, Rowan and Pearson have been together for seven years. One morning, Pearson decides that his curiosity of what could be is worth leaving the relationship for. A devastating heartbreak for Rowan, she is now forced to uproot the life and person she loved. When she meets someone new, she struggles with leaving behind her preconceived view of love and how it should feel. We all know love and have had different forms of it. In life, people expect us to move on and not think about our past relationships anymore. The one secret we all keep is it is never that easy. Some people imprint our hearts forever.
Why us?
We believe that we are the people to tell this story because we have witnessed love take unexpected turns in many relationships. My own parents and friends have had heartbreaking results in their love lives that completely altered the future they hoped for. In movies, we usually get a happy ending but in real life sometimes “happy” is not what we expect it to be. Most times it’s something different altogether that we never really anticipated.
Why this story?
Currently, in our production company, we are exploring the thriller genre. However, on the side of filmmaking, I write short stories that tend to be realistic tales of love, loss, and life. When I originally wrote this as a short story, I shared it on social media, and it got a lot of attention. My producing partner/fiancé is an established actor but has always had a passion for camera work and aspires to direct. We came up with the idea of adapting this into a short film (since it was already loved) as his directorial debut. I am also an actress but haven’t had a shot yet to showcase my other passion. This is an all in one deal for the both of us and we are highly passionate about the story we are telling.
**COVID STATEMENT** The other reason we chose this story is because this short film involves a total of 6 actors and two of them (Brandon and I) live together (only 2-3 actors will be working together at a time). It's going to be a very safe set, complete with sanitation standards and proper testing beforehand.
Why now?
Saturday morning is a story to tell now because love is always a topic of conversation - as a matter of fact - it’s the center of all we do. When things aren’t right with our loved ones we can’t eat, sleep, or think straight and we believe this story has an ability to promote new hope for those who have struggled in their love life.
Why you?
You should be excited to get involved because we are two Latino filmmakers who are extremely passionate! You’ll be able to see two real people who are in love in real life play characters that are falling out of love in this story. You’ll be supporting a diverse cast and crew who are eager to learn and unafraid to fail. You'll be supporting a film that many asked us to bring to life and best of all we plan to release it for free online so you won’t have to wait ages to see it!

Current Team
About This Team
Brandon Larracuente (Director, Actor)
From playing Ben Rayburn on Netflix’s Bloodline, to the heartbreaking role of Jeff Atkins in the hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, Brandon has had the privelage of working on some of the most groundbreaking shows to date. In addition to working alongside some of Hollywood's biggest names such as Dwayne Johnson in Baywatch and Will Smith in Bright, he recently lead a tv-series called Party of Five, which aired on Freeform. He is an actor with passions related to directing and photography. Brandon is now set to direct his first short film at the end of this year.
Jazmin Garcia (Writer, Producer, Actor)
A writer since she could hold a pen and a lover of the arts, Jazmin has been a storyteller for as long as she can remember. She moved out to Los Angeles where she could freely pursue writing, producing, and acting. After landing a job where she worked alongside the EP of 13 Reasons Why- Mandy Teefey, it became clear that Jazmin was determined to work hard and succeed. Her current projects include, "Absence," an original feature length film that is currently in the packaging process, a short film, "Saturday Morning," that goes into production hopefully by the end of the year, and a New York Times bestseller in the adaptation process. On the road to becoming a writing producer and actress, she occasionally shares short stories with those who follow her journey.
Jake Ambrose (Executive Producer)
A marketing and theatre arts graduate of Loyola Marymount University, Jake Ambrose has spent the past three years working in creative development alongside two prolific producers at Twentieth Century Fox. Shortly after being admitted into UCLA’s coveted graduate acting program, Ambrose ultimately deferred to pursue a producorial role on the film Absence. In combining a rigorous academic experience with early professional roles, Ambrose has a natural ability to facilitate creative development success in addition to developing concrete marketing strategies.
Carlos González (Director of Photography)
Venezuelan born of Spanish descent, Carlos came to the US to study Architecture. After graduating from Architecture school, he attended the American Film Institute where he received a Masters in Cinematography. His thesis film, 'Last Breeze Of Summer', was nominated for an Academy Award. Carlos has had a long and varied career in film and television both as a cinematographer and as a director.
