The Story
SOMEWHERE is Ben's second single from his upcoming EP set to release in March 2021.
SOMEWHERE is an experimental story of transformation, growth, and longing. The story unfolds by jumping between two visually striking and contrasting worlds that offer two versions of the main character.
Our first world is a computer-generated natural environment to place the subject in. The character begins as an embryo in an amniotic sac. As it makes its way out, the character slowly and painfully grows into a winged creature.
In our second world, Ben is very pale and bright, contrasting with the darkness around him. He is at the same time more realistic looking and more fantastical than the subject in the first world....
This narrative will be told through experimental and visual storytelling - animated images, intricate camera movement, fast-paced editing. The goal of this video is to compliment the song it will be accompanying, while as the same time offering new meaning and interpretations of it.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, my usual sources of income have stopped as prodution in NYC has significantly slowed. We will also need to take extra precautions to guarantee our safety on set. The whole team really appreciates your participation and help in making this project happen during a global pandemic!
