The Story
It’s just one night of your life—so how come it feels like such a tantalizing, teasing taste of what your future could be?
At a tasting at their favorite natural wine bar, two roommates urge one another to make moves on their respective crushes, leading to a night of vulnerability, connection, and fantasies galore.
This inspiration still is from John Bronco (2020), directed by Jake Szymanski and property of Imagine Entertainment. Sourced from YouTube at https://youtu.be/1q6kfa3D4xE
Our film explores the beauty of having a crush - the fantasy, the fear, the endless possibility. The way every small interaction feels like electricity through your veins. And, most importantly, this film is a love letter to the friends who stick with you through it all.
We are currently on our way to raising $10,000 that will go towards equipment rentals, crew rates, and other production costs (see wishlist for more details). Filming is scheduled to take place mid-November, and the plan is to submit the short first to a variety of film festivals, then release to the public early next year. This film isn't possible without the help and support of you all — every dollar counts towards bringing our lovely queer short to life. Please share this campaign wide and far, tell your friends, family, loved ones, situationships, crushes, and everyone in between!
