Welcome to Easter in Lithuania: a place of pagan ritual, unexpected color, and ceremony. A place Eglė hasn’t seen since pursuing a DJ career in London. Now Eglė must contend with her rural family’s scrutiny in a comedy-laced homecoming tale that illuminates Lithuanian ritual and family expectations.

This film increases representation of international female filmmakers, writers, cinematographers, and producers with every one of those roles being held by a woman from a different country. We also shine a light on Lithuanian traditions which are underrepresented within film.

About This Team

Greta, Olga, and Alice all met while studying for their Masters at Goldsmiths University of London. Inspired by their lives and backgrounds, this story is the spirit of their journey into the arts. Greta and Dana met at the Prague Film School while studying filmmaking and an ocean couldn't keep them away from jumping on the next project after. We are four filmmakers from four different countries who are well aware of the misadventures that come with going home. So we're making this film...whether or not grandma approves.
