Mission Statement
We've been blessed to come up alongside talented creatives who span race, gender, and nationality. We live amongst men and women of Black, Mexican and Asian descent every day and, naturally, thats reflected in our work. That's not the case for most TV & Film. Join us and together let's make it so!About The Project
The Start
Too old and cynical to be true Millenials, caught in the fading sunset of Generation X, computers suddenly had modems in them and came in Skittles-like colors. Raised by the respective televisions at each others houses...
If we were born a few years later, we might have built the next great App. One that would reroute infrastructure resources that manage waste water and finds homes for said liquid in community gardens. Something important. Or at least understand Snapchat maybe.
Alas, we fell in love with visual storytelling.
The Dawn of a New Morning (After)...
The Morning After Series came about from our collective stories of making just enough to live in cities such as San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Paris. Working too many jobs. Finding temporary living situations on Craigslist. Looking for opportunity wherever it presented itself. Dreaming.
Finally finding our feet as creative professionals in the modern economy, we've had time to decompress. And what good is living the struggle if you can't share the stories that almost forced you to give up. Drawing influences from classics like Martin, Frasier, and The Young Ones, as well as the music that raised us,
The Morning After was born.
The Morning After follows a band of ambitious, unmotivated twenty something’s heroic journey to make ends meet. The characters take a break from the daily grind, find refuge in their friendship and deal in the only currency that matters in their crew; jokes. Aging and unskilled, these knuckleheads navigate an existence of drinking, drugging, gaming, social media, sports, work, girlfriends, ex-girlfriends, and prospective girlfriends. This all in the hopes that maybe, in this day and age, an underdog might still have a chance at the good life.
The Players
Deleon Richards asThe hot head who works more jobs than there are hours.Brian Davis asThe flower-child who just can't quite monetize his wisdom.Deane Gonzalez as
The floundering mark whose lost all faith in the game.
Stretch Goals
We pooled together to shoot our Pilot Episode. We have built a bare-bones budget for the next two Episodes (you can trust our Accountant - she worked for someone who worked for someone who managed a successful start-up). The number we came to was $2,000. That number feeds the talented cast and crew, compensates them for their time, and allows us to deliver great quality content to you.
If we raise more, it is allocated as such:
2,100 - Better camera package!
2,200 - Another crew member!
2,700 - Fly out a special guest star!!
3,200 - More episodes!!!
Collaborative Projects for Collective Presentation
We want to tell diverse stories, and we want to do that as a group. We are all about bringing in a collection of talented creatives and letting them shine. A large component of our mission is making sure talent and crew are not exploited. With the completed projects, we'd like to return the viewing experience to communal settings. The experience of joining a community of viewers in a collective moment is what made us first fall in love with video stories.
