The Story
Urban Meals is a cooking show which will serve healthy, home cooked meals to the homeless and hungry people of Wilmington, N.C. The creater of this cooking show is a single mom whose worked in the film industry for years and who also, with her family, has served meals for many years to those in need, in the cities they've lived in, and on various mission trips. The team of Urban Meals couldn't be more spectacular together, not only in talent, but in heart! We have the best team members on the planet, and are hoping to be able to grow our team with each episode.
With this cooking show, our intenet is to employ out of work film crew, since film incentives were taken away from NC a couple of years ago, leaving several tv/film workers in desperate circumstances, while also helping to end food insecurities here in our own city. We cook for, serve, and fellowship with the hungry in our community, and are working with different outreach programs in Wilmington to not only stop hunger, but to also aide in developing work skills, mentorship, and job placement for those in need.

About This Team
MARTY SIU - Marty has been working in the film industry for about 25 years. She and her children have volunteered for many years with soup kitchens, domestic violence centers, and food banks in Charlotte and in Wilmington. Her heart to combine artistic creativity with the need to serve those hurting in our community, is the desire and passion that is fueling this show. She is our creator and producer.
JORDAN RAY ALLEN - Jordan Ray Allen is an award winning Writer-Director who creates and releases films under the philosophy of "Make the art and stay out of the results." At present, he is penning a genre-bending anthology series called 'The Montgomery Murders'. We are so fortunate to have him as our director and editor of this show!
MICHAEL SIU - Michael's technical and creative skills are most valuable to this show. He's an exceptional photographer as well as a student of Criticial Thinking, and Green Building & Design Concept. His sharp mind, combined with modern creativity, lends remarkable vision to this production, as our set photographer and creative consultant.
JEFF TURNER - Jeff has been creating graphic designs and commercial videos for about ten years. He has always seen a reason to serve those in need. Recently he has worked with Vigilant Hope and the Food Bank to aid the hungry in the Wilmington community. Jeff hopes to be able to combine the arts and volunteer work to allow him to help even more people in need. Jeff's incredible talent, as our graphic designer and creative consultant, is a treasure to our show.
MEREDITH JACKSON - Meredith is a writer, producer, and actress. She enjoys filmmaking, helping others, and of course, delicious food. Meredith has an extensive film resume, works back and forth from the West to East Coasts and we are thrilled to have her on our team as an associate producer!
DONOVAN TYREE - Donovan is our host and a young man of many outstanding talents! He's been cooking, singing, and performing leading roles in live theater for as long as he can remember. His culinary skills are fantastic, and wait till you hear him sing! He WILL be doing so in episode 2! :) Donovan's heart is as big as his talent and we are so excited to have him as our chef and host!
