I have a passion for telling stories that question the status quo, explore cultural norms, and leave the audience changed. I write about the present by contemplating the past, anticipating a possible future or adding some strange twist to our current reality. I believe that storytelling should be used to entertain, but also inspire curiousity about the world we live in today.
When I'm not exploring more complicated themes, I'm writing animated films. I enjoy exploring universal emotional themes associated with coming of age as it's such an innocent and yet trialing period for many. And those feelings resonate with everyone.
And when I'm not writing/filmmaking, I spend my time with my wife hiking, exploring, exercising, playing board games and video games, or binge watching Game of Thrones for the third time. Oh and I also have a cat that tries to kill me. But it's ok, because he's cute.
