Hey, I'm Kathy!

Kathy E. Mitrani is an award winning Colombian filmmaker based between South Florida and New York. She is currently pursuing an MFA in film at Columbia University School of the Arts. Her first short Rozada (Rubbed in Pink) had its festival premier at Palm Springs International Film Festival 2020. It then screened at AFI Fest, La Femme International Film Festival, Festival Internacional de Cine de Villa de Leyva in Colombia and Cinemaattic in Scotland. Rozada is also featured on Nobudge, Directors Notes, Ladies with Lenses and was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick. Her latest short film, Buzzkill premiered at Chicago International Film Festival in 2020, screened at Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival, Miami Film Festival, Palm Springs International Shortfest. It won a University Short Film Award at Hamptons International Film Festival and screened at New Orleans Film Festival this fall. It awaits other screenings in 2022.
