Hey, I'm Steve!

Chicago, Illinois

Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, I graduated from Eastern Mennonite University with a BA in Digital Media and later received my MFA from DePaul University's School of Cinematic Arts. I have been a key player, usually as a 1st AD, on several film projects of varying length and scale that have screened around the United States and internationally. My most recent short film, Rear View, which I wrote and directed, has screened all across the United States and has won multiple awards, including Best Short Film at the 2020 Lake Michigan Film Festival.

I am an avid sports fan and live or die (usually die) by the White Sox, Bears, and Bulls, in that order.

I currently live in Chicago with my wife, two sons, two dogs, and a cat.
