Director's Statement
Despite not having anywhere near a normal production budget I never want this to compromise the projects I work on. I set the bar pretty high, always with the attitude that we can do it. I find the cast and crew rise to the occasion as we all want to make something we’re proud of. We put our heart and soul into Ren and it shows. I’ve always loved fantasy. I wanted Ren to sit somewhere between the darkness of a show like Game of Thrones and the lighthearted fun of a show like Legend of the Seeker, with the audience helping to shape the story through their comments and feedback. I’m in no doubt that this is only the start of an amazing journey!

Ren lives in the small village of Lyngarth with her younger brother, Baynon, and her crippled father, Dagron. Growing up she has tried to come to terms with the sudden disappearance of her mother, and helped by her mentor, Karn, she manages to keep her family fed. But on this day her life will change forever. After an otherworldly encounter in the woods, she is marked by an ancient spirit and finds herself hunted by the ruling order of the Kah’Nath. Forced to leave behind the family she has spent her whole life protecting, she heads out on a journey to find the real meaning behind the ancient mark she now bears.
