The Story
My name is Sam Platizky, and I am an actor/writer/director/producer/editor… In 2010, I founded "Narrow Bridge Films" to take control of my acting and writing career.
Since then, along with an amazing team of artists, I have produced 5 feature length films, 17 shorts, 2 webseries, 2 sizzle reels, and a play. Most of these have been comedy, or horror, or horror-comedy.

A look at Narrow Bridge Projects (And some unproduced screenplays)
The goal, for us, has always been to improve and grow with each project we’ve made, and I think we’ve done that.
A few months ago, one of our actors challenged us to step outside of our comfort zone and attempt something we've never done before: A DRAMA. A real, honest to God, prestige drama. No jokes, no zombies, just real people going through serious issues.
I thought that this would be a great opportunity. People who make dramas are used to making dramas... But maybe as a comedic/horror filmmaker, I could approach it all from a fresh perspective... And maybe that perspective would be refreshing for the audience... and if the subject matter could inspire people in a way that maybe some of our other projects have not... How cool would that be?
I wasn’t sure if I could do it to be honest, but I wanted to try… And so, I dug deep, and wrote "Archangel," a short film about a man named Michael who was hit by a car when he was in high school, and has struggled ever since. In near constant pain, emotionally and physically, Michael has been unable to hold onto a job. After losing his latest job, a friend offers him a job doing “late night deliveries.” What happens causes Michael to confront the issues he’s dealt with for over two decades.
There are some dark moments in the short, but at its heart, it is a movie about hope and redemption, and that is something that I think is in short supply in our world right now, and it is something we need more of.
After I finished the first draft, I brought it to the Brazen Giant Ensemble of NY, a group of artists I belong to comprised of actors, writers, and directors who help each other develop scripts. The first draft got positive feedback, so over the next few months, I continued developing the script there and polished it until I felt that it was ready to film.
I believe it’s now ready to film.
Brazen Giant Ensemble Reading

I knew that the lead role of Michael would be played by Dan Gregory, who has been a part of Narrow Bridge Films since the beginning, but I wanted to surround him with an incredible cast of actors… So, that is what I did. I reached out to the actors who read the script at Brazen Giant (and a few other members of the group), and asked them if they would be willing to play these roles. Thankfully, they all agreed.

I will be directing, and Joey Mosca (who has been a part of Narrow Bridge Films since our very first project) will be doing audio.
Our Cinematographer is 3x Emmy Winner Eddie Lebron Jr.
The Producers are: Myself, Isaac Platizky, Dan Gregory, Joey Mosca, Christian Keiber, Eddie Lebron Jr., Keith McCord, and Alannah McCord.
Here is a mood board that I put together to show our cast & crew what I had in mind as far as look and feel.

Stills from "Sound of Metal," "Silver Linings Playbook," "Beautiful Boy," and "Reign Over Me"
Once we have more information on the rest of the crew, we will share those updates with our supporters.

We are speaking with a potential composer, and we are also excited to feature music from Sci Fi Book Club and Keiber & the Dead Coyotes, whose music you can listen to now wherever you listen to music.

We've got the script, we've got the cast, we've got the start of the crew and the music, and we are in the process of finalizing the rest.
We shot a quick teaser to go along with this campaign to give people a taste of what they can expect.
We plan to shoot in November and December of this year, and have a finished product to share with the world in 2026 -- first on, what we hope will be, a successful festival run followed by a release on the Narrow Bridge Films website.
To date, we have raised over $5,000, which means that we have passed the "green light" point on Seed & Spark so we get to keep what we have raised, and we have passed our minimum goal. We are still hoping to raise more for:
- Catering
- Post-Production work
- Film Festival entry fees
We would love to raise as much as $7,500 - $10,000 to see us safely through post-production.
We know times are tight for most people right now, but anything you can do will help us get closer to making this movie. And we are offering some fun perks to those of you who choose to help.
Donate, share, tell your friends and family.
This is going to be a very special movie, and you can be a major part of that.
