The Story
Boozelbub tells the story of three friends (Robbie, Scotty, and Jeff) who finally get a night to kick it together. The one thing these buds lack? Some suds to help soak up their night. So, out of other options, they re-hatch an old plan: crash a frat party in the hopes of bumming some of their booze for free. On their search, they find a house that just might be the rager they're craving. Only one problem: there's no one to be found. As they explore, they realize they may have crashed the wrong party.

Right after our last project, John went on to write a full length feature film. Realizing that absolutely no one in their right mind begins with a feature, we decided to stick our greasy little hands into a short! Inspired by movies like Evil Dead, Re-Animator, Braindead, The 'Burbs, and Harold and the Purple Crayon; John has spent a good number of hours devouring the horror-comedy genre. We strive to bring the energy those movies do to our project. This also actually happened to us so this is all based on a true story. The whole thing, shot-for-shot. We're lucky to be alive.

We are a couple of scrappy chums who like making art together and staying up 'til 2am playing the worst games you've never heard of.

John Bearss (left) is is a talented actor with years under his belt in both stage and screen experience; taking years to master his screen presence and deliver lines in ways that are charming and captivating without spitting all over himself (most of the time). Garrett Miller (Right) is a creator who's been holding cameras before he held spoons. Having been working in the digital media space for 7 years, Garrett has been in roles that have allowed him to push his technical understanding further with each project. A man who likes to know exactly what he's working with, he has cultivated a captivating collection of equipment for his own projects so he can attest to the quality of everything he owns. The duo met in high school theater and since they have made videos, photos, scripts, and all other sorts of art together. With their devoted passions of creativity, these 2 strive to tell stories that make them smile and hope to make you do the same.

SACRIFICE...YOUR...MONEY!
With bigger projects like this, we need bigger funds to make it possible!
In the aftermath of our test-filming last year we're still starting with a lot: like location, props, costumes, and all the gear we still have so no expenses need to be made towards those. However, we still have areas where we will need to be spending our funds.
- Feeding our crew fresh hot meals daily.
- On set needs like first aid, heat, and trash bags
- Post production for an original score, advertising, and film fest fees
- Any other fees that are overlooked
Despite being an indie production, it is our goal to run our operation with as high a level of professionalism behind the scenes as possible. Not only will this professionalism bleed over into the quality of our product, but we also carry a psychotic need to make sure that any and everyone working on this project walks away feeling safe, comfortable, respected, and having had a good time. Unfortunately, doing things the right way can be pricey, which is where you come in! Any funds that pass our goal will go to expanding gear set so every dollar will be focused to making the project bigger and better.
Along with the pre production, filming, and post. Our plans for one the film is complete is to share it with backers, put it through the indie circuit, and the place it online for free so that everyone can enjoy our project. We will be working on this until it meet our standards of quality, sharing constant updates with you and social media to show you where we are in the stage of creation.
Thank you so much for reading! We hope you liked what you've seen and want to be a part of our little journey. Love you, BYE!

Don't mind us, just cleaning up set...

WELCOME TO THE BLOOD MONEY CAMPAIGN
Now that we have reached our goal in ludicrous time, we are now shooting even higher! With this campaign, we now have even more goals with even more possibilities to be unlocked the more we earn. The film itself will remain unchanged, this campaign simply allows us to push production in ways we didn’t think possible before. These goals will aid in making the project “Boozelbubbier”
So what are the stretch goals? WELL I’M GLAD YOU ASKED.
- $1,250 - Prop and Costume upgrade
- With this upgrade, we can put more focus into distinct costume design, set decoration, and even make up to put some powder on our noses
- $1,500 - Camera gear upgrade
- We can now add a focus puller to our gear list for the camera team to flow better with tools to allow each member to focus on their respective task
- $2,000 - Audio upgrade
- Reaching this goal will allow us to increase our score budget to ensure we find someone to give us the funkily frightening tunes we need. As well as including a “blimp” that will allow us to have cleaner audio quality that reduces surrounding noise
- $2,250 - More Film Fest
- With this funding, we will share Boozelbub into EVEN MORE film fests. By entering into more film fests, we can spread the good word of ‘Bub across the country.
- $2,500 - Animatic film cut
- John is an absolute madman and has drawn out EVERY shot for Boozelbub. So with this goal we would make a dedicated cut to share the animatic, uncolored, and final cuts of the film to show the film at its deepest roots
- $3,000 - Painted Poster
- Wicked movies deserve even more wicked posters. Reaching this PEAK goal will allow us to commission a hand painted official Boozelbub poster.
As we said before, these goals are in no way a requirement for the end product. These are to add more incentives that can aid in giving YOU a much better end product. We really hope you enjoy these goals and want to see them be realized. Thanks again for all of your amazing and generous support, these wouldn’t exist without you.

Garrett (Jeff)
Ma nam Garrett. The producer, actor, editor, and champion mouth breather. Garrett has years of experience in making any weird video you have seen on the internet. He brings his wide kit of film gear, yellow smile, and dedication to storytelling to make this project hit as hard as he can. Like a good donkey kick to the sternum.
Kalvin (Scotty)
Kalvin (hailing from parts unknown) is the last in our trio of main actors for the film. With his boyish charm, empowering stature, and love for all things silly, Kalvin brings true passion and dedication to the role.

Either way he aims to leave you feeling emotionally and romantically confused.
James (Ezekiel)
James is cool! Brother of John, James carries with him his own extensive catalogue of acting experience. Be it comedy, drama, or any of those pesky genres in-between, if you need a captivating performance James is your man.
Stella ( Alex)
Stella (Madame President) is our supporting actress. With too many roles in productions to count, Stella brings a back bone to the film that keeps us as people, and as characters focused on what really matters.
Autumn (DP)
Autumn is our director of photography. With years of being a camera operator for many projects, she takes her role to heart to capture what the director envisions and does so with flawless execution.
