A special program presented in community partnership with Kids in the Spotlight which offers a selection of films that were written or directed by middle and high-school aged filmmakers. From a science fiction tale on a distant world to a classic noir to stories of life-shattering events, this program speaks to the talent and perspectives of the next generation of filmmakers.
This line-up of films that each interact with the idea of living in a physical, mortal body in a unique way. From a pair of cousins dealing with the consequences of a death in the family, to a boy with Cochlear implants navigating the pursuit of his love of dancing with his deaf mother’s lack of understanding to the story of a reaper and a dying teenage girl, to a champion bull rider in the aftermath of a career-ending injury.
