499 Days is a feature-length documentary project that delves into the journey of a young boy, Kyler, and his battle with DIPG - a rare, terminal brain cancer. Our movie highlights his bright spirit and the resilience and hope of his family against the backdrop of personal loss and a global pandemic.

Mission Statement

By sharing Kyler's inspiring battle, we strive to raise awareness about the urgent need for DIPG research, foster a compassionate community, drive meaningful change, and illuminate a path toward a future where every pediatric cancer fight is met with renewed hope and commitment to finding a cure.

The Story

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

When better to launch a campaign to help #DefeatDIPG through Kyler's story!

Our project aims to resonate not only with those directly affected by pediatric cancer but also with all individuals navigating the complexities of medical trauma and caregiving under duress. We seek to offer solace, understanding, and community to those enduring the emotional and logistical challenges of caring for loved ones facing severe health crises, providing insights into the resilience required in such journeys. Our large and broad audience encompasses healthcare professionals, caregivers, and anyone touched by the universal themes of love, loss, and hope amidst adversity.

In Short, Our Movie is for Everybody.

Why us? We're Kyler's family, survivors. There's no one better to share his incredible story. Join us, become one of Kyler's Warriors.

Why This?

DIPG still maintains a 0% survival rate and treatment options have remained largely unchanged since American astronaut, Neil Armstrong lost his daughter in 1962. But, through community and awareness, we can change that.

Why Now?

We need help. Nearly every day that we aren't spreading awareness and helping to increase funding for DIPG treatment, another child is lost to this tragically underfunded disease.

Here is our promise to you:

We will share Kyler's story wide and in a way that will change the landscape of pediatric cancer care, community, and education forever and across the globe.

Here's some copy/pasteable social copy to make it easier on you to help spread the word:

And our $30,000 initial goal is just the start!

If we raise $35,000: we'll be able to cover all of the costs of running this very campaign!

If we raise $40,000: could cover a few more great songs to add to the soundtrack!

If we raise $45,000: we'll be able to pay for some travel and housing to attend festivals!

If we raise $50,000: we'll be able to cover some delivery costs to our distribution partners!

And if we raise even MORE: we'll be able to cover a tour with the movie and team, holding screenings for organizations, hospitals, and learning institutions across the globe ensuring Kyler's story will reach the largest possible audience and his team of Warriors will continue to grow, dedicated to defeat DIPG.
