The Story
Confessions From the Friendzone is about a girl named Angelique who attempts to escape the friend zone in life and love, by using advice she found on the internet. With the help of her friend Rose, Angelique learns a lot about herself, life, and the difficulties of being in the friend zone.
Audience members will follow Angelique's journey through seven episodes filled with laughter, tears, and many awkward moments.
This story may or may not be inspired by the writer's own life and the various hilarious situations she has found herself in when it comes to being in the friend zone.
Raychel's desire is to write uplifting material that can be watched by a wide range of people, promotes positive images in minorities, and provides an opportunity for creative individuals to work.
Creating a project like this requires a lot of time, effort, and money. We would love your help in spreading the word about our project, as well as contributing any financial means possible to help make the project become a reality! We are excited to bring the story of Angelique to life for a few different reasons. First, we are committed to creating encouraging and uplifting content that is accessible to all ages. This project is one that people can enjoy without worrying if it is appropriate for various situations.
Second, this project is going to provide opportunities for creatives in Los Angeles to practice the art form they love.
Third, we are committed to a diverse cast and crew on this project. We will have a wide variety of ethnicities represented, as well as a heavy emphasis on a female team.
Creating this project is going to cost $14,000 at minimum. These cost will allow us to pay the cast and crew the minimum day rate, provide insurance while people are on set, feed everyone, plus provide the necessary production needs.
However, if (and WHEN) we reach our goal, there are contingency plans in place to be able to bless the cast and crew:
- $17,000 - We will be able to provide a stipend for the individuals allow us to shoot at their locations (they are currently giving it to us for free)
- $20,000 - We will be able to pay the cast and crew more than just the minimum date wage (which isn't much for compared to cost of living)
- $23,000 - We will be able to upgrade our camera package, to provide an even higher quality of work than what we will already have!
