The stories of A Blind Play of Social Forces are about fear of loss--loss of identity, control, independence, life, and, of course, love. The characters are real, the situations are familiar, and the outcomes are honest. You will find yourself and those you love in one of these stories.

The Story
THE ORIGIN
In 2012 while in the midst of a writing residency in Scotland, I published my first short story. Inspired by an album by the Atlanta band No River City, "This is Our North Dakota" found a home in Mount Hope Literary Journal. I continued to publish my work in literary journals around the world. Many of these stories, including "This is Our North Dakota," will be featured in Season Two of A Blind Play of Social Forces.
SEASON ONE
The first season, produced on a shoestring budget, challenged listeners with such topics as abuse, racism, transphobia, PTSD, and poverty; but also family, grit, resilience, compassion, and platypuses.
Then the reviews came in:

"Unapologetic, and at times, raw. Really well done!"
"I just started and I'm already sucked in! What a great concept and brilliant execution."
"These stories touch my heart, mind, and soul."
THE STORIES
All of my stories have been described as "heavy" and "dark"; I see them as hopeful--a hope for redemption and transcendence. Season Two is focused on damaged relationships and lonely people looking for wholeness. In other words, humans.

YOUR SUPPORT
I feel like some NPR host promising superior programming for your pledge, but that's just the truth of it. The podcast is free to download and free to share, but it's not free to make.
Our budget is still micro at $4,000, but we need every penny of that to produce the show.
Pledge your support, and I will pledge an auditory experience you will want to share with others.
