The Story
The Story:
"A Painterly Hand" is a haunting thriller that delves into the twisted world of an enigmatic artist, Raoul (played by Patrick McDermott), who only paints his deepest fears. That is, until he falls in love with a young new artist, Sylvie (played by Emily Juliette Murphy), at an art gallery. Their untimely romance leads them to both overcoming their deepest fears: death and blindness.
Still of our two star-crossed lovers, Raoul and Sylvie.
Why We Need Your Support:
Finishing a noir-thriller with such a distinctive approach requires meticulous attention to detail and a dedicated post-production team. Your support will be essential for:
- An Original Composed Score: Our composer, Ashna Pathan, is an assistant to the composer of the TV show, American Horror Story. Your contributions will help us secure the string musicians and studio space needed to record a romantic, but thrilling score.
- Color-Grading Excellence: We've already created an enigmatic art workshop - filled to the brim with haunting imagery. But now we need our production design to pop even more with a professional color-grader's touch.
- Detailed Sound Design: Everyone knows a horror/thriller is made in the sound design. Your contributions will help us with dialogue editing, mixing, foley, and added effects.
- Festival Submissions: Finally, your support will enable us to share "A Painterly Hand" with audiences globally by submitting it to renowned film festivals!

What You Get:
- Exclusive access to behind-the-scenes content and project updates.
- Early access to the completed film.
- Early access to the original soundtrack.
- An exclusive digital print or an actual canvas print used in the film!
- Special thanks or an Associate Producer credit in the film and on IMDb!
