The Story
Alice has run away to join the circus but found herself in a wonderland of bizarre people and pursued by a terrifying jabberwocky.
The classic story by Lewis Carroll reimagined with stunning aerials and circus acts. This film would be in the style of Cirque Du Soliel - Worlds away with the story interwoven with performance pieces. With a script that is emotionally driven and beautiful visuals, this movie will definitely stick with you.
ABOUT US
Three Ring Theater specializes in Aerial Theater Productions and we are now on our fourth year of show production. Alice has been our most popular show to date and we want to bring it to the screen!
We are in our pre-production phase and we are now campaigning to push us into production. Right now so many performers are out of work due to the pandemic. As our Director Halee says - "We aren't starving artists in the literal sense, but we are starving for a project." We want this film to be a way to give performers an outlet as well as bring a bit of theater to the viewer. Our big goal is to make you feel like you are at the circus, even though you are at home.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
The wonderful thing about the story of Alice is that very few characters interact with Alice at once. This makes it a perfect story to tackle during a pandemic as we will only need two or three actors on set at a time. We have already been able to do casting through video submissions, and we plan to continue social distancing on set. All crew members will wear masks while filming and actors will be asked to wear masks if they are on set but not actively filming.
STYLE
A circus is a place that is both colorful and inviting but can also have a dark underside. The same applies to the story of Alice in Wonderland - a place where everyone is mad probably wouldn't be wonderful all the time. The style of the film will be a touch on the dark and creepy side.

The script does a wonderful job of balancing humor and seriousness. It goes deeper into Alice's personality and her reason for running away to the circus. She progresses as a character and learns to face her fears.
RELEASE
Once the movie is released we plan to submit it to several local festivals and if it gains enough traction, perhaps a theater-based streaming service such as Marquee TV. All those involved with the film will have access to a free digital download of the final film.
