Mission Statement

Our diverse team of international artists from 5 countries around the world is coming together to answer the philosophical question of the film: Why do we become so delusional at times of crisis? We reveal the consequences of our subconscious defense mechanism called Self-deception.

The Story

Dillon has big dreams of being a writer, however his lack of Self-confidence inhibits his ability to produce thoughtful work, so he bides his time waiting tables at a restaurant in NYC. Dillon’s girlfriend, Bella, is his only source of Self-assurance and Stability, and when she visits her ill mother in Chicago, Dillon’s mind begins to run. Desperate for assurance, Dillon decides he must surprise Bella and propose to her immediately. However, the day before Bella returns, Dillon discovers that she has been hiding a massive Secret from him and his world begins to crumble. Dillon is forced to face the situation head on to claim what is his and accept defeat. Does he have it in him?

Two years ago, I was sure I had found the one, the girl of my dreams. I thought we would be together for the rest of our lives, and nothing else mattered. I was so lost in my fairy tale that when reality hit, it crashed down on me harder than a ton of bricks. Losing that Relationship was like losing my Identity. I was lost, confused, isolated, and depressed. However, once I regrouped, I realized I’m not alone in my experience; for many others, self-deception has ended with Depression as well.

I wrote screenplays and watched films to help cope and recover, and it ended up being the best form of Therapy for me. To this day, I don’t know what I would do without my passion for film, especially during the toughest moments of my life.

One day, it occurred to me that I had something to Give Back to the world. Once I understood my experience and found healthy ways to cope, I was inspired to help others to do the same. I decided to gather this group of creative artists and shoot this film to share my story and show others that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Why now? The global pandemic, in one way or another, has affected everyone. Now more than ever, we must remind ourselves to think positively and stay strong. Our battle with COVID-19 has made it clear that we are social creatures, and we need interaction. While it has taught us that we must be grateful for what we have, we’ve learned the importance of adapting to new circumstances, even if they make us leave our comfort zone.

Alternative deals with Human Connection, Self-worth, Disappointment, and Adaptability, all of which are directly related to what we’ve experienced during the pandemic.

The story is a relationship drama full of melancholy and a spark of hope. Our cinematography style will be Desaturated with contrasting colors like sodium vapor and cyan blue. With slower rhythm and dramatic music, we will create an unforgettable feeling of Desolation and Fulfillment.

We will take all necessary precautions to value our Experienced Cast and Crews' dedication and ensure their safety during our four-day shoot. Our post-production team consists of artists whose films have been submitted and featured at multiple festivals. Including The Oscars, Sundance, Cannes, and Berlinale Film Festivals, to name a few. We believe that your support will result in a product full of Visual and Emotional Quality.

With the essential cast and crew already Hired and ready for Action, we are in the pre-production process and plan to shoot the film over the last two weekends of April. We hope to finish the post-production by the end of May and start submitting to film festivals immediately.

Afterwards, the film will be uploaded and distributed by “Film Shortage”
