The Story
Hi! Reilly here. Thank you so much for taking the time to scroll through this page, and thank you for supporting this show!
You can help make the world premiere of Belly at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival be as successful as it possibly can be by becoming a donor. At least 80% of our goal must be reached to keep the funds that are raised. All funds raised will go towards the needs of the show, as listed in the “Wishlist” tab.
What is this play about?
BELLY is a one-person play about girls, appetite, grief, and control told through three generations of women navigating caring for their bodies in systems that were never built for them.

Why the Edinburgh Fringe?
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world(!!). We want to bring Belly this summer because it’s a space that champions bold, personal storytelling and connects artists with global audiences. It’s where new work gets to take real risks. And this piece is a risk. It’s intimate, nonlinear, and asks audiences to sit inside questions many of us have been taught to avoid.
Why in 2026?
I'd love to tell ya. Conversations about body autonomy, medical bias, and wellness culture are everywhere, but the lived experience of disordered eating, grief, and survival is still flattened, stigmatized, or ignored.
My Belly refuses that flattening, and I would love to invite you and yours to do the same.

This play is for anyone who has ever felt at war with their body, or has witnessed someone they love struggle inside of theirs. It’s for people craving stories that are emotionally precise, a little bit funny, and deeply human.
How Can I Help?
Taking a show to Fringe is a scrappy, expensive, and wild endeavor, and your support is essential in bringing this story to life!! Thank you for helping me pay our artists, secure spot, and build a production that can meet audiences with compassion and honesty.

As specified in our Wishlist page, we are looking to raise $20,000 to ensure the following needs are met:
- Travel to and from Edinburgh for our team of six (plane, train, and automobile!)
- Marketing the show - we've learned the best way to get people to come to the show is to tell them about it over and over and over again. From large outdoor posters, flyers, and fair wages to the folks walking up the Royal Mile with papers in their hands, we want to make Belly as visible as possible to stand out in the crowd!
- PR and Publicity - we are going to be working in an attention economy. A strong PR push is what helps the right audiences (and the people who influence them) actually find us in time to buy tickets. It also builds credibility fast: reviews, features, and word-of-mouth created through press and industry visibility can be the difference between a decent run and a show that breaks out, sells, and opens doors after August.
- Team Stipends - the whole team of Belly is dedicating their time and talent to make this show possible. It would mean the world to be able to compensate them fairly.
