The Story
It all began with Krystle telling me a story about warming up her boobs for an audition. In the throws of laughter the seed for Blackout Cake was planted. Inspired by Broad City and Blackish's Tracee Ellis Ross, I pledged to write a comedy with strong, dynamic characters. Blackout Cake's Aly and Nicole are best friends with seriously messy lives. We see their parallel stories over the course of a day-Aly's "fourth 26th birthday." From getting peed on by a dog to climbing up 8 flights of stairs with a laundry cart, they face all the sh*t life in New York City can throw at them. However messy this day gets, their love for eachother gets them through.
Purpose: We’re a couple of #womeninfilm fighting to break down the door, break through barriers and defy expectations one laugh at a time.

About This Team

Hollis Fox
Hollis is from North Carolina where she received a BA in Drama from The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. In New York Hollis completed the 2 Year Conservatory at Michael Howard Studios and has studied with Terry Schreiber in his advanced scene study class at T. Schreiber Studio. Some favorite credits include: The Night Runner (title role, writer, producer), The Jesus Picture (Best Actress at Long Island Film Festival), Same Time, Same Bench in the Strawberry One Act Festival (Best Actress Nominee), and playing a young Mariel Hemingway in an episode of Celebrity Ghost Stories on Biography Channel. Her original short film, The Night Runner, is preparing to hit the film festival circuit! Hollis loves running, writing, and french fries!
Krystle N. Adams
Krystle is a Brooklyn born Jersey livin’ actress, writer, singer and director (Brooklyn Baby, Jersey Maybe, Hairspray, Gypsy, West Side Story, etc.) Twelve years later, she is STILL happily married to her husband raising their two beautiful children. In an acting class, Krystle was paired with Hollis as partners. They looked in each other’s eye and immediately knew they were meant to be in each other’s lives FOREVER! She and Hollis have been two peas of the same pod for almost ten years. Krystle loves cake and cupcakes (preferably vanilla). She loves bike riding... she just needs to make time to do it. “Thank you God for my man, my kids and my Hollis.”

Nolle P. Wilson
Noelle P. Wilson is an actor, writer, producer and director who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She started acting off-off Broadway at fourteen years old and has never looked back.
As an actor, Noelle has worked on television in The Knick opposite Clive Owen (directed by Steven Soderbergh); Law & Order: SVU and True Crimes with Aphrodite Jones. Recent films include Dinner and DNA (which she also Executive Produced), Pitter Patter (DP Andrew Voegeli of Breaking Bad) and Beyond the Grid (Director: Raouf Zaki) where she played not one but four lead characters.
Noelle studied and continues to study acting and directing under Jon Shear, Seth Barrish and Lee Brock. She has directed over half a dozen short plays by three time Emmy winner Seth Freeman, staged readings (The Shelter) and numerous corporate videos. Presently, she is in pre-production of a pilot she wrote and created.
Residing in Queens with her husband, two plants and obscenely large collection of whisky, Noelle has never met a French fry she doesn’t like. She spends her free time running and doing Cross Fit (see lines about "whisky" and "French fries").
