The Story
Judy Alcott hates everyone around her. Judy Alcott hates herself.
A trans woman in her 20's, Judy (played by Jess Scott) goes to her weekly trans function: T-Slur Tuesdays. There, she heavily drinks, while being ignored by everyone around her. This week, however, she tries to be a person. She tries to flirt with a queer woman named Lydia (played by Yasha Alaniz), but to no avail. Lydia isn't here for Judy, she's here for her date: an awkward, yet beautiful trans woman named Cammy (played by Elli Luke). Upset neither one wants her, Judy snaps at the two, causing them to leave T-Slur Tuesdays. Judy is kicked out by the event's organizer (played by Jasmine Brimsmayd) shortly after.
Bitter and embarrassed, Judy stumbles to her car. That's when she sees Cammy and Lydia up ahead, happily making their way deeper into the city. Determined to berate them further, Judy trails far behind, following them to an inconspicuous alleyway. What awaits Judy snaps her out of her anger, however ...
As she witnesses Cammy chomp down on Lydia's neck.
Instead of running away, Judy watches, scared but turned on. Instead of killing her, Cammy goads Judy into helping her dispose of Lydia's body. An erotic, uncomfortable tension plays out between them, as both use each other to fulfill their own desperate desires ...

Some of my favorite vampire stories play into the dichotomy of being a monster vs once being a human. Vampires may be monsters that are immortal, surrounded by familiars or other vamps, and/or beings with unfathomable power. But they cannot escape what they once were; humans. They cannot escape the symbols that once bound them to humanity, nor things that could kill a human. They can't escape their humanity or emotions either. They need humans to survive, whether to eat their blood, their help to get blood, or their love. In turn, they are forced to provide something to the humans serving them. In that sense, the crux of this short revolves around a depressed woman and a vampire navigating their ties to humanity, and the humans around them.
I also just think more films should feature woman splattered in blood.
This is a film that's been in my head for years. What started as a feature length concept exploring a trans woman vampire has morphed into this. Blood 4 Blood is a darkly comedic horror short that, as a friend of mine put it, explores a t4t "Dracula and Renfield" dynamic. It shows aspects of being trans (loneliness, all consuming love, and community vs individual desire), and questions how they lead someone to embrace their darkest desires, to the detriment of everyone around them.
As this country’s fascism becomes harder for unaffected folks to ignore, more and more people will turn inward. Become meaner, more afraid, and willing to do anything to survive, even if it means turning on those struggling just like them. While we are making a fun, gory t4t short, it's characters reflect a rot far bigger then any of them.
Finally, it should be noted that there's interest in this project already. Blood 4 Blood was one of 20 projects (out of 100+ submissions) to be given the opportunity to pitch at Femme Filth Fest's Fund the Filth pitching contest. While ours didn't win, it showed us how us how many people are hungry for a project like this to be made. In that regard, we've turned to you for help in funding our short, and helping us create more trans horror cinema that people desperately crave.

Currently, Blood 4 Blood is in it's pre-production phase. The script is written, the roles are cast, and the crew has been assembled. All we need now is the funds to bring it to life. This is where you come in: we need help raising funds for:
- SFX Work, AKA lots of blood and messed up wounds!
- Craft services, along with reimbursement for transportation costs, for the cast and crew.
- Renting equipment such as lighting and audio
- Renting and buying props
Should this project exceed the desired fundraising goal, any excess funds will go towards paying the cast & crew for their work!

I'm an award winning, multi-talented trans artist; an actor, writer, and director for both theatre and film. I'm also an avid lover of horror media, as well as lesbian and trans-centered media. My work has been published in local anthologies, and my last short film, You're Still Awake, was screened at several film festivals.
Jess Scott (Judy Alcott)
Jess Scott (she/her) is a screenwriter, playwright, filmmaker, and actor based in LA. She is principally a writer, with her play t4t recently being published in the Methuen Anthology of Trans Drama Vol. 3. Her acting experience has been exclusively for the stage thus far, having acted in several devised and original scripted pieces like Vaud, Torment, and Don’t Worry it’s Just a Play. She is currently pursuing her MFA in screenwriting at USC.
Elli Luke (Cammy)
Elli Luke (They/She) is an actress, comedian, and writer based in Los Angeles. You may have seen her performing across Socal with improv groups, Party Fowl and Shrinky Dink, or seen her work staged at the ActNow’s TGI2S Festival. She has performed in the Hollywood Fringe, at Upright Citizens Brigade, and as a part of The Joy Who Lived Festival. Most nights, you can find her writing, somewhere in DTLA, and/or at a wresting match.
Yasha Alaniz (Lydia)
Yasha Alaniz (she/her) is a Mexican American actress, singer, writer, and comic from the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. A graduate of Texas State University, she earned her BFA in Theatrical Performance and Production and trained in Shakespearean performance and analysis at Shakespeare's Globe. Recent credits include Estela in Real Women Have Curves at Casa 0101 and Ericka in the indie horror film Crystal Prison. Beyond acting, Yasha performs as her drag alter ego, Dykeodomy, sings lead vocals for her queer rock band Pink Threat, and is writing her upcoming sitcom, Gay Panic, inspired by her experiences dating as a lesbian in Los Angeles. Follow her @YashaAlaniz on all social media for a glimpse into her brain, and to keep seeing her pretty little face.
Kaitlyn Sage - Producer
Hello! I'm Kaitlyn Sage! I'm from Simi Valley, CA, and recently moved to Los Angeles. I'm 30 years old and am finishing my bachelor's degree at CSUN after taking a break from school. I have been a lifelong movie fan and am super excited to be a part of this project! My favorite movies are CItizen Kane, Magnolia, and Casablanca.
Danni Rojas - Assistant Director
Danni Rojas is an aspiring director, editor and cinematographer. Born in Lima, Peru, and moving to California at the age of ten, he developed a passion for film at an early age. He'd steal his dad’s video camera, have his sisters play out characters, and would then show his parents and neighbors the videos they created. Unsure of his career path during College, he decided to take film classes, where he fell in love with filmmaking all over again. There, he immersed himself completely in directing and editing, as well as television studio work.
Cassandra Box - DOP/Editor
Cass is a multi-talented film and TV professional that has contributed to a variety of projects across genres, whose filmography includes a mix of independent cinema and mainstream work, with standout titles like Will & Harper & Stealing Seaved. Cass’s career showcases her versatility and passion for storytelling — from key roles in feature films and television to technical contributions in the editorial department on projects like Marvels MPower & CNN's The 2010s. Cass is committed to growing her creative craft and collaborating with fellow filmmakers to bring compelling stories to life.
