Mission Statement

We want to go back! Our films look back to the the days of daring stuntmen, talented makeup artists, and blood-pumping action made possible with movie magic. We always make sure that every set is enjoyable and a great opportunity for everyone to flex creative muscles, from the Director the the PA's.

The Story

We are Evil Elf Productions, and we are here to make a chilling experience to compliment the upcoming Autumn season! We are a team of professionals and students from all across the film industry engaged in exciting collaboration to create sensatiable films. Stunts, gore, drama, action? We've got it, and this project is no exception. With 'BONE', we aim to make one of our most intense films to date! It will highlight the best work of all of our skillsets, and will a great film to be a part of. Collaboration is key here, and we would love to have you on-board.

Recently, I have felt suffocated by the amount of melodrama films I have been taking part in. Especially in the wake of the pandemic. I have been craving a film that is just pure fun, and this short film is it. We are embracing the upcoming Halloween spirit and capitalizing on the beautiful Fall aesthetic to inject the film with an eerie yet eye-catching atmosphere. Moreover, this film will encompass an action-packed scene full of blood, screaming, practical effects, and a stunning monster suit dawned by our professional stunt choreographer. Not only will this film be a heart-pounding spectacle on the screen, but also an enjoyable set for our cast and crew to experience thrillers as they were made in the 80s-90s.

This film will center around a group of survivors in a unique undead apocalypse who have run into car problems on a desolate road. In this world, all who have survived have done so due to a particular edge they all pertain. Wade, the leader, rules with an iron fist. Hank, the geezer, has the advantage of being bigger than the rest. Lastly, Irving, our pencil-necked protagonist, conceals a disturbing secret that is the key to his imminent survival. The gang is on the road to reach a medical clinic Irving used to work out, for they are in immediate need of its supplies. Due to the new problems with their vehicle, however, they are forced to race the setting sun on foot via a shortcut. This route, though shorter, poses a far greater threat than anticipated as the dead begin to pick them off one by one in gruesome ways. As the group of five begins to fall, we start learning the secrets of Irving's edge and how it could mean the demise of the plan as a whole.

Now when we mention the undead, we are not talking about your stereotypical green, rotten corpses. These monsters are inspired by the horrific deformations that occur in people living with Bone Cancer; therefore, they consist of many uncanny growths, plates, and decays based on their skeletons. Spikey protrusions and burls are the main emphasis of the monster's appearance and are also the primary means of infection. Anybody impaled by these needle-like splines will quickly die and become a walking corpse themselves; the longer you're infected, the more deformed you become. With this in mind, the gang always covers themselves from neck to toe with scavenged clothing, duct tape, and all garments that they can get their hands on. When attacked, these monsters exhibit extremely aggressive behavior to impale, tear, and mutilate the group as quickly as possible.

After crowdfunding concludes, we will begin filming in October of 2022. Currently, we are wrapping up our casting process as well as the remainder of our prop outsourcing, but your support will increase the quality and speed of our pre-production process drastically. The shooting dates we have selected fit comfortably with our schedule, and we currently have no reason to believe that we will not be able to meet that deadline. After filming, we believe edits will role out over the course of 2-3 month or sooner before distribution begins. This film will be aimed at festivals, and we will keep our supporters in the loop during the whole process.

FUNDING GOALS:

Our current goal is to collect roughly $2000 in the next month to put towards production. We are currently lacking in props and wardrobe, and a lot of funding would go towards making the arsenal as camera ready as possible. The core necessities for the project are nearly done, so we are working hard to ensure this film does happen in October. To the side, you can find great options to support the project that can get you directly involved with the production if you wish. Our sets always encourage collaboration, so we are always eager to hear what others have to say.

Thank you all for your support!
