I was compelled to write BOUND after a conversation with Alexandra about her past. I was surprised that someone who faced such hardships could be so well put together. I knew it needed to be shared for victims still dealing from past trauma.
Trauma can be isolating and victims often feel alone, misunderstood, or helpless...which makes it important to hear real stories like Alexandra's and realize with the right kind of help, things can get better.
I wrote BOUND for those who were bullied, abused, or just never quite fit in, to let them know they are not alone, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and trauma does not have to define them.
We humbly ask you to join our team and bring this impactful story to those in need.

We wouldn't be where we are at right now if it wasn't for our incredibly diverse, uber talented, and passionate Associate Producers. Everyone is a master of their own unique skill set that fills all the gaps, adds to the creativity, and inspires each one of us to step up our own game!!!
GO TEAM!!!
A scarred girl hides behind her hoodie, wondering what she is more afraid of; others or herself. When she finally musters up the strength to take a stand against injustice, she’s betrayed by the very family she tried to protect...so she runs away.
During her journey she faces unimaginable hardships that teach her the importance of living with a clean conscience, that friends are the family you get to choose, and that to truly break free from what binds you…you must face the demons you left behind.
This universal and easily relatable story of endurance, survival, and starting over doesn’t only belong to Bella Patterson; it belongs to anyone who desires to live in peace but is met with resistance.
When boys struggle, we are told to be strong, to squash our emotions, to figure things out on our own. Girls are now told the same. It’s bullshit.
I wrote BOUND to remind people that no matter what level of adversity we face, it’s OK to cry, to admit defeat, to ask for help; because we are not alone and with the right kind of support things can and will get better.
Although the story is dark and gritty, one underlying thread is hope. Therefore we will shoot in a realistic but cinematic way; similar to the Safdie brother’s UNCUT GEMS. The storytelling will focus on the visuals; showing just enough to allow the audience to fill in details with their own imagination, leaving them feeling more engaged.
The tranquil picturesque countryside pits itself against the vibrant underbelly of New York City. Action sequences will interrupt moments of drawn out tension. Dialogue alternates from deceit, to humor, to gut wrenching truth; all born from believable painful circumstances that will melt your heart moments before breaking it. This dichotomy will create excitement and unease that will keep the audience clamoring to find out what will happen next.
That being said, emotion is the driving force of this film. The super diverse ensemble is easy to empathize with and relate to. The audience will root for these perfectly imperfect characters and invest in the story.
Even though we are not planning to shoot until fall, we are taking Covid Protocal very seriously. We will encourage all cast and crew to have been vacinated by then and everyone will be tested according to SAG guide lines. We will also have a Covid compliance officer on set.
My mission in life is simple...to leave this earth a little better than when I arrived and I've chosen the film medium to do this...why? Not because it's easy (I've already spent about 2 years of my life on this project) and not because it is cheap (it isn't).
I chose it because the film medium is the biggest platform for me that utilizes my talents and creativity. Plus it is the ultimate collaborative art, and although collaboration can at times lead to tension...it can become something beautiful. Also..it is simply what I want to do at this time in my life as a proffesional storyteller.
So again...we humbly ask you to join our team and bring this impactful story to those in need.
I am BANDIT, Bella’s pet pocket squirrel and the real star of this movie and I am pissed I’m being offered as a perk option! Grrrrr!!! Anyways, thank you in advance for being part of our team…and if you end up being my owner…you better treat me right because I am better than the following perks!
